First of all the block is very pretty. Attractive design and colors that go perfectly in my kitchen. The knives are sharp and I'm happy they're made of stainless steel which seems to be pretty quality so I'm hoping these will last for a very long time. Glad they have scissors also which come in handy cutting food packages open and cutting different ingredients a lot faster than you would than with a knife. I'm very happy with this set so far.

This knife block and knife set seem to be nice, sharp, and simple. It is a very basic set with only cooking knives you'd need, but they seem good quality. I love the color, and the quality seems good so far! They come very sharp, and it comes with a sharpener as well.

I really like the fact that there is a design on the wood holder. There are four knives included, each a different size and shape. There is also a knife sharpener and kitchen shears. The knife handles are comfortably shaped and have a softer material on the underside so they are very ergonomic. The only downside to this knife set is that the knives are faced straight up rather than at an angle. I cannot take out the longer two knives unless I pull the whole set out from under the cabinet. My cabinet is 19 inches above the counter and the knife set is 13 and a half inches high. WI not be a problem if your cabinets are higher.

Wow super impressed with this beautiful set I totally just tossed out my old oak look set from 20 years ago , that was a huge step for me as I don't like change but soon as I opened this set I knew it was time ,the knife block is super stable and study and I can see the quality craftsmanship ,the color totally looks great in any kitchen and the knifes are super well made huge quality, love the kitchen shears and the knife sharper is a great addition ,would and do highly recommend this set and it would make an adorable well received gift , well done

Overall, this is a nice knife set. It is not overly fancy or full of frills. It is a very basic knife set that includes a chef knife, bread knife, paring knife, utility knife, a sharpener and pair of kitchen scissors. This is the first set I've ever had that actually includes a decent sharpening rod. I had no idea how to use it, but fortunately my husband did. All the knives are very sharp and chop veggies up well. I also use them to cut meat into strips for dinners. It cuts with ease whether it's meat or vegetables. The scissors do a good job at cutting open various kitchen packaging. They seem to work nicely. I do like that the knife block rotates for easier reach of whatever knife or kitchen tool I need. The only issue I have with the set is that it does seem a bit cheaply made which is why the 4 star rating. They definitely do not look all that high quality or professional. The handles are easy to grip but don't seem to be as strong as I would prefer. The colors are nice and the design is attrative, but they could be sturdier in general. I would get these as a starter set for like a college student or young person that will only need them for a certain period of time. I would not buy these as a permanent set for my home however. I honestly can't see these lasting for years to come. Not the best quality overall, but they get the job done as far as sharpness and cutting accuracy. I do recommend them.

This knife set is not bad! It isn't the best set I have ever owned but it is of decent quality. I used the chef's knife to slice up a few apples and the bread knife to cut off the crusts for some grilled cheese for my kids. I really like the feel of the chef's knife. It has a decent weight and balance to it. It feels pretty sharp and cutting up the apples was very easy. The bread knife I was not impressed with but it still did the job. It is not the sharpest bread knife I have ever used. It works well enough that I won't be looking for a replacement for the time being but I wish it was a lot sharper. The scissors open and close easily. I have never had a set that came with the sharpening rod so this will be an interesting addition for me. I can't speak for how well that works as the knives are new but I like the idea of being able to maintain the knives on my own. The smaller knife is really great for things like grapes and tomatoes. If you are looking for a beautiful set to keep on your counter than this is a good choice! If you plan on keeping knives in a drawer anyway then I do believe you could find sharper knives out there. Overall I am happy with this knife set.

Unboxing the knives was impressive as they had a knife shaped cardboard covering in plastic with clips to ensure the knives were secure during shipping. The wood block isn't slanted requiring the knives to be taken out straight up. This is a problem since I have the block on my counter top under my cabinets. Not sure if it's just my home but this posed a problem for me. I would have preferred a slanted slotted block over a straight slot. The wood block is very cute and will easily fit into several different decor patterns. I don't think I have small or large hands. I have an average size hand for a woman. The knives fit into my hand for every day use such as cutting fresh fruits and veggies. The handles on the knives have very good grip giving the ability to grip the knife easily without slippage. It seems to have a rubbery texture once you have the knife in your grip. The knives aren't heavy. They are very lightweight. The blades are very sharp. I haven't had to use the blade sharpener as of yet. But I would advise using it after a few times of using each knife to ensure it stays sharp over time to minimize the blade dulling. I haven't had the ability to test the knife with cutting any melons as it's not fresh melon season in the southeast. I mainly use the pairing knife in my daily use in my kitchen. The set will make a great gift for a new cook in the kitchen or for a starter set for a persons first home. Steak knives aren't included and including a pair would have made this an even better set. Overall, the set isn't bad and serves a great purpose in the kitchen.

I bought these for my daughter because of the price and look for her first apt. I didn't read the reviews as I thought it would be good because of whose name is on the brand. I finally saw them in person and they are ok as this is her first Apt wish the block was slant instead of straight as it would be easier to access the knives my daughter likes it though so we will see how long it will last.

This is a really good knife set for beginners. The set is not particularly sharp and seems like it could wear out really easily. It does come with a knife sharpener and a pair of scissors which is nice. The handle seem like they could wear away really easy. The design is cute but does look a little cheap.
