Spirited Away (Blu-ray + DVD) (Steelbook), Shout Factory, Kids & Family

One of my favorite anime movies. Being a steelbook collector, it was a must have. I was worried it would be dented or damaged as tends to happen when retailers ship steelbooks, but it came in perfect condition. I appreciate their packaging!

This is definitely one of the best films of any medium, let alone anime. The steelbook is a very nice shade of red, a bit deeper than the image indicates. Overall, highly recommended!

Very happy with this product..especially like the metal box as it appears to keep the discs safer. This is NOT the kids movie with horses (Spirit) -- this is an anime that MAY NOT be appropriate for younger children if they are easily scared. Otherwise, we enjoyed the movie tremendously, as with most Studio Ghibli movies.

This thing is great for what it is. Expectations shouldn't be extremely high as far as collector's editions of a thing go but it's a pretty copy. The item is an attractive case, light, but more sturdy than a usual DVD or Blu-Ray case, a small folded ad for more Ghibli steel book releases, a small paper with the usual back-of-case film information on it that I tucked into the case, and of course the two discs with the film and extras. Someone who enjoys Spirited Away as much as I do will appreciate having this edition, but it's probably an unnecessary expense and no big whoop for someone else.

A fan favorite from all of time, Spirited Away still should be still considered the quintessential Studio Ghibli film. There may be better movies from the acclaimed studio, but no other films from its catalogue just scream “Studio Ghibli.” One of the finest works you will ever see.

A nice little steel book. It arrived with minor scratches and dents. The case description also said it would come with a little art booklet but it was more of just a pamphlet referring to other movies. However, the Howls moving castle steel book came with a little art pamphlet so I guess it depends on the movie.

Movie is a classic. Item was shipped and arrived quickly, but it could've been packed with more care. Had received a damaged case, but was quickly remedied with another shipment that was packed securely.

I'm aware that most people probably buy the steel cases for the novelty of them. I am not one of those people, though I will be keeping it for that purpose. It came in sealed, and maybe it's the fact that I'm watching it on my Xbox, but the movie began glitching halfway through. I got a sealed copy of Princess Mononoke at a thrift store, and it performed perfectly. Check your local thrift stores for DVDs and test them out before buying something from a large site like Walmart or Amazon as the people who are meant to be handling your things are not usually gentle with them. Very disappointed.
