I love this product. I mix the blue and purple together (Midnight Indigo and Purple Tanzanite) to get a color-shift effect—sometimes it looks purple, sometimes blue, and in certain lighting it shows both. This is the only dye I’ve found that I’m not allergic to, it actually lasts, and it doesn’t damage my hair. The color holds for about three months even though I wash my hair every day with Native’s volumizing shampoo and conditioner. I don’t use any other styling products—just the shampoo, conditioner, and this dye. I’ve been using it since I was around 11 or 12, and I’m 26 now. My hair has always stayed healthy with it. It also works really well on my tape-in 100% human hair extensions. I got them on a whim to see what I’d look like with four extra inches, and the color took beautifully. My only complaint is that the shades I use are almost always out of stock in stores, so I usually have to order them online. But I’m so loyal to this product at this point, I wouldn’t switch anyway. First photo is most recent last photo is with the tape in extensions in, they are currently out I’m going to touchup my roots and put them in after❤️❤️❤️
My go to color! The brightest red is over bleached hair, the darker red is over my natural brown. This color never lets me down regardless of if my hair is natural or lightened, I use midnight scarlet. I clean houses for a living so i also want to recommend if you buy this color to have a bottle of clr to spray in your shower after you rinse your hair color out because it stains.
I love Splat hair dyes! I had never used this particular color before, but I LOVED IT!!! The thing about Splat is you can usually put one color on over another color and get a nice natural blend. The purple is more on the orchid side, but it’s a beautiful color and it fades nicely. Not a lot of bleeding as with some colors. I will definitely be doing this color again.
I have been using this dye for years. It smells like fresh raspberries, so there isn't an unpleasant smell like some hair dye. Has great coverage, and I have no need to re-apply until my roots grow out; however, I only wash my hair once a week with cold water - so that might help too. It is fire engine red on my light blonde hair.
The color came out brilliant and beautiful. I bought 2 boxes just to be sure everything was thoroughly covered. I have a bottle for touch ups. This is called Midnight Jade
Came out a bit faker than expected but over all was a beautiful red just bleeds a lot for a while after 4 washes it won’t bleed definitely recommend drying hair every time after shower
The color of this is so pretty, however, if you're a brunette you will absolutely still need to bleach for a vibrant result. my daughters hair is nearly black.
Normally I use this brand because it is known for staining and staying. I use midnight ruby in the past and it shows up amazing. I bleached my hair and did this purple, it faded in a week. I take cold showers and wash my hair every 2-3 days. It faded so bad.first picture is freshly dyed then the rest is how it looks faded. It’s this very light color now and the old bleached red peaks through. I’m not sure if the batch I got was just faulty but i normally never have issues with this company/brand.
The box came sealed BUT the bottle was opened inside and it spilled all over the inside of the box. First thing is: I have black hair. Yes, you can see a tint of blue in your hair, so visually, it shows. BUT know that EVERYTHING turns that color from the second you put your gloves on to put it on. The tub was stained blue. The towels. My skin. My ears. EVERYTHING. And the color just kept washing out when I rinsed it out. Other semi permanent products at least stop washing out after a few minutes of being under cold water. This one would not stop. The water was not washing out clear. It has no staying power at all. I was absolutely disappointed in this purchase.
After reading reviews and those who've even had their tubs/sinks hands and such stained from this dye I decided to give it a go anyhow. I took precautions. Of course always wearing gloves even when rinsing the dye, putting Vaseline around my hairline and on ears and neck. I also put cling wrap in my sink and kept cleaning product and paper towels near. Thankfully I did not have any staining to anything. Now as for my hair. I was excited for blue! However, that is not what I got. It was more black at the top followed by purple. After washing my hair about 4 times with sulfate free shampoo a majority of the dye has washed out. Now a few weeks later I have a couple random streaks of blue that appeared. Not sure why as nothing has changed in my hair care. I would save your money, time and hair do not buy this brand.
