We have 7 of these cameras. You get 100 photos free on each per month, if you need more its only $5./month for 250. The batteries last a very long time. They work year round in Maine with temps down to -20 or more and summer temps in the upper 90s. They are very customizable as far as do you want 1 photo or multiple, do you want a delay of a few seconds or a delay of 30 minutes or more between shots, you can take a control photo at a specific time every day. It takes videos. You can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection. The night photos are incredibly clear. 10 out of 10 recommend. Been using these for 3 years now and each year we just keep adding more. We use them for both security of our camp and property and for hunting/wildlife spotting.
This is their best camera so far. Software updates are done without having to remove the camera. Uses the best tower no matter the carrier. Great pictures, clear and easy to expand. Good value for the money.
These replaced my aging Browning cameras (I was not aware they would fail after a few years) but the spy point work great! The 100 free pics every month isn't quite enough and i run out of pics sometimes, mostly because of my dogs. i don't particularly like the green light when it takes a pic... but it does take decent pics and sends them right to my phone. The Lit22 battery pack is great and it saves me alot of money on batteries and lasts longer than Energizer Max by a lot.
We take still photos due to the increased cost of running videos and the number of cameras deployed. The Flex-M is probably SpyPoint's most reliable trailcam of the models we have used. There have been very few issues with the FMs that are deployed. SpyPoint firmware is already obsolete the day you buy the camera, and the FM is remotely updateable from within the mobile app which is unique to the FM currently. For all other SP models you will be doing firmware updates manually if a support issue occurs. Consider purchasing a 12v UPS type lead acid battery and fabricating a Chinese wiring harness for any SpyPoint camera that will get a high volume of triggers. A cheap generic 12v lead acid battery is rechargeable and will run the camera for up to a year vs only a few weeks or months at best otherwise.
Good camera for the price. Got a 2 pack for just around $100. The 100 free pictures a month was a big selling point, as I do not believe any other camera offers that. I am having a difficult time getting pictures sent to my phone, but it could just be a bad signal. The date and time keep changing on the camera for some reason, and the gps showed the camera in a different country, but it has since fixed itself. Overall I like the cameras and would recommend.
Great cameras if you get one operational out of the box. Now own 9 of these but had to return 4 and get replacements due to operating and firmware being corrupted. Cameras would not connect to cell or would drop off and use up the battery within 25 hours trying to reconnect. Only spyware could update or repair so they sent new ones to me and I returned the faulty ones
This camera is a little bit iffy. Often when I turn off cellular to save my free 250 photos then turn it back on. It does not activate. I end up having to reset the entire camera manually on site.
was easy to activate and set up but have gone to the woods many times to try to get working. one camera will take a picture once in a while but the other one doesn't take pictures at all!! neither one takes a picture when you walk in front of it. and they are set up to take a picture at 5 pm every day and that doesn't happen either!! WISH I COULD SEND THEM BACK!!
Will be returning this .I cannot register this , therefore cannot get on the App to see any photos that it takes , it , requires a credit card . I tried 2 , my Amazon and Quicksilver , it denied both . So I've wasted money on the SD card and adapter, I'm sure I can't get a refund on that and batteries ! Highly dissatisfied
I have had other Spypoint cameras in the past, each one usually lasts a year before needing replaced. The customer service is ok in the aspect they replaced the cameras when they fail. Bought these to replace my LM2 version, didn't connect right out of the box. Tech support told me to update the firmware and provided me a link, tried downloading and said that the download wasn't avaliable. They offered me replacements in 5-7 days, but I need them now. When they send the replacement it'll get a "return to sender," I don't need another overpriced paperweight. I bought another brand that starts with an "R" and it was setup in less than 5 minutes. Don't waste your money, the right camera with REVEAL itself in time.
