I've been a user of the seven inch Squatty Potty for about 12 years. I recently had a new toilet installed, and though it too is standard height, I found that it is almost two inches taller from floor to seat than my old toilet. I tried out my old Squatty Potty for a few days, before deciding I need to upgrade my Squatty Potty to a nine inch model. I am very pleased with my nine inch stool so far, and look forward to using it for many years to come. If you've been using an up-side-down garbage can so far, or something else that just puts your feet in front, I would highly recommend getting either the nine, or seven inch Squatty Potty instead, it does make a difference. Also, judging from a number of one star reviews I came across, it seems like people are expecting a stool like this to provide some sort of magical laxative effect, which it simply will not do. It will however line your insides up properly for you to do what you need to do, which sitting does not. The ultimate of course is a squat toilet, or a over the toilet platform, but that's not always practical, or possible given bathroom size. Also, there are a number of other brands selling something similar. When I looked into those, most of them are seven inches in height, and either have too short foot pads, or foot pads that aren't spaced far enough apart. Besides, Squatty Potty was the first, or one of the early ones to come out with their product, and they've been selling it long enough to know what they're doing.
I would never have dreamed this stool would make such a difference! IT DOES! Easy to slide under rim of toilet and out of the way, easy to slide out when needed. Better than a laxative (although I'm not saying it is a replacement......) for complete elimination.
I feel like the king of the world on my own toilet with this lol. It definitely helps your digestion by helping you position your body the right way, and I found this very helpful. It arrived in a big box, and It seem like it was used at first, but it was just very dusty. I completely washed, and was satisfied with my order.
This item is sturdy and the right height for our tall toilet. I appreciate the nonslip rubber on the base and the way it fits under the toilet when not in use.
It's really a nice little addition to the bathroom. If you just use it, and lean into it, it’s simple to see how it really does help.
Liked the nonslip pods on top. It’s lightweight. Stores easy under front of toilet. Only problem for me was. It was too high. I should have ordered the shorter one.
It was very sturdy. I am unable to use it. Every time I try to use it I get a cramp in my right hip area. That is not the products fault.
There is no assembly. I have what is called a 'redundant colon' according to the doctor who did my most recent colonoscopy. I know: tmi. haha. But, it's relevant to the product given that, even though I am a vegan, this can cause difficulty with bowel movements. Because the space where my digestive system is basically too small, it wraps around so many times that stuff gets stuck! Who knew? Someone recommended this as her son found it helped for constipation. I found it cumbersome, practically having to undress to get my feet on it. Then my legs would fall asleep. It was in the way most the time. I would rather just eat oatmeal. It works better. Maybe I am too short for it, or too old with too many aches and pains, but it didn't work out for me.
I have both constipation and pelvic prolapse. I hoped using this would ease the constipation, but it put extreme pressure on the wrong place, instensifying the prolapse. It is well-made and would probably be helpful for many people, but if you have any kind of prolapse in that area, you might want to think twice.
The measuring instructions are off %26 the 9in was way too tall. I sent it back to exchange for the 7in. They rcvd it back on 18DEC2025 but I have not rcvd a response regarding my exchange or a refund as of yet.
