I am 5'11". I can fully extend my legs on this rower. This rower took my husband and I 30 mins to complete. I've used this rower for a month now and have had ZERO issues. I poured over reviews and different rowers and have to say: I love this product. The price and materials for this are wonderful. I received my shipment a day earlier than expected.
I suffer from "bad" feet and was finding walking for exercise was no longer an option. I researched fitness equipment and rowing seemed to fit the bill for me. Since I didn't want to drop a ton of money on something that may not have worked for me I opted for this budget friendly rower having read great reviews on it. Well, the reviews didn't do it justice. This rower is much better quality than the price would suggest. Takes up practically no space even when not folded. Assembly was easy too. I am not disappointed. I keep it in my small bedroom & row every morning before work. Thank you for a quality product at a great price!
My wife and I bought this a few weeks ago and are very pleased with the rower. It was very easy to put together, is very stable and provides a good workout. The quality of the materials is very good for the price we paid. The seat has been a little hard to get used to, but it may be because we have never rowed before. It seems to get more comfortable with each workout. I have arthritis in both knees so the types of workouts I can do are limited. This is a very low impact workout that does not cause me pain and will get me into great shape. My wife and I are very pleased with this purchase.
We ordered this rowing machine to get some cardio in while watching TV. The quality is much better than I would have expected. Assembly was easy and the workouts are solid. The only thing is the fan is a little loud but the wind is a welcome relief when you really get going. Overall, great buy and a good workout.
I bought this a month ago and have used it 2-3 times weekly to supplement my running and other fitness activities. It definitely works different muscles in the legs and has helped me feel stronger as a runner. For me to get my heart rate up, I really have to have a high tempo (30+ strokes a minute). The machine is smooth and not as loud as some reviews would have you believe. The seat is cushioned, but firm. I wear padded biking shorts and loose fitting gym shorts over them. So, your sit bones do get a little sore. I was in good shape before I started using this. Now, after a month, my legs and forearms are finally conditioned to not hurt after using it for 25 minutes.
As others have said, nicely built with comfortable seat, smooth slide and pull strap. Compact. I have used gym rowers all my life and this is not as good as the best but is as good as many I have used there. I got the extended warranty for $28 so I don't have to worry about busting it.
I wanted a concept 2 but since they are over 1000 unless you can find a used one in decent condition I looked for alternatives. This one is pretty sturdy, no complaints there. It's a little loud but not too bad. My only complaint is no damper setting which I knew when I bought it but it's got pretty good resistance. Feels like it's set at a midpoint , like 5 on a concept 2. Assembly wasn't too bad, took under an hour and one person can so it. All in all good rower for the price. I've only had it about a week so can't speak to its durability over time.
I was on the Crew team in college looking for something to get back into practice since the machines in gyms typically are now "real rowing." Good for a beginner that does not have the money for a more expensive rowing machine. The only thing I do not like (that I did not notice in the description or was left out of it) is that you cannot adjust the resistance. But I would recommend for beginners.
I purchased this Rower about 4 months ago. I do like the actual rower the problem I have is both pedal covers cracked. The right one cracked totally in half. I tried to continue rowing but I found it very uncomfortable to try and keep my foot from slipping out of the velcro strap. Most other rowers your feet are much closer to the floor. I called customer service and even though they said I was just out of my warranty they would still send a replacement free of charge. I received it within days which I was very pleased about. But within the first use this one also cracked. I sent an e-mail a couple of weeks ago and they said they would send me out a new pair which I am still waiting for. They need to come up with a better design ! I guess I will have to try duck tape next.
The Stamina 1399 Air Rower gives me a good workout, but based on my experience with a Stamina 1404B Air Rower, which except for colors, appears identical to the 1399 failed after less than 90 hours of use. I didn't realize this until after I ordered the 1399. If the 1399 doesn't last a lot longer than the 1404, I won't be buying any more Stamina products. By the way, I'm an 83 year old male. I would expect a younger person to put a lot more stress on the rower.
