STANLEY 15-809 10-Inch Mini Hack Utility Saw

I have 3-4 full size hacksaws. As I was tool-shopping one day, I noticed this mini-hacksaw and thought that would solve my problem of having to cut some bolts in a very awkward location. This saw is compact, light, and, due to its design, the blade is flexible. What a concept! The flexible blade allows you to use a hacksaw in places where a regular hacksaw would not work. The bolts I was trying to cut were in a rather inaccessible location. I was trying to use a hacksaw blade with the end wrapped with a cloth to reach these bolts. Obviously not a safe thing to do and did not do the job!! The design of this mini-saw allowed me to get into the tight space and cut off the bolts easily and safely. A 'must have' tool for all DIYers.

Inexpensive small hacksaw. Fits in many places the normal one won't

I hate hacksawing more than any other shop task. I have rotary cutting tools, but there are times when I can't afford to create that kind of spark and heat, so a hand hacksaw is needed. I have had this little tool for longer than I can remember, and it makes the hacksawing much easier. I get more leverage and cutting action with this than I could ever get with the big hacksaw. This uses the same blades and is comfortable to hold. Your thumb finds the intended spot on the handle, letting you keep good control. Blade replacement takes 20 seconds, compared to a longer process replacing the blade on the big hacksaw. I think this tool must be in every shop.
