Journeyman tile setter, fat max is what everybody likes but at the end of the day, the old studly Stanley can't be beat. Keep a 25' for lay outs and oh crap, wheres my tape measure and a 15' on my hip for cuts and daily plans. All these other high end tapes fail from exposer to cements and dust.

As a General Contractor, and Garage Door Contractor, measuring tools are critical to my success. I have been using Stanley tape measures for over thirty years.

As you can tell from the pictures we have had it for years and it's taken quite the banging and still works just as good as the day he bought it. It's very durable and made out of a very heavy metal and chrome finish. It has an anti lock snap back which makes it very easy for measuring to lock in place than release the lock and it snaps back into place. It also has a clip on the back that clips securely on his belt belt and stays right in place. My husband loves his Stanley tools because as though can see from the pictures they take a beating and still live up to its name.

The Stanley POWERLOCK II 25' Tape Measure is a champion of longevity. I purchased this tape measure approximately 37 years ago for a home project and it still works flawlessly to this day. Although I do own other tape measures, this Stanley POWERLOCK II is my “go-to” tape for anything I need to measure quickly & accurately. It really holds up to time and use...This tape measure has been dropped off ladders and roofs, it has been dragged behind a truck down the road after falling off the truck, it has been exposed to sun, rain, snow, it has been dropped in the water, snow and in mud. It has been left outside exposed to the elements but, it works perfectly and the tape, is as easy to read as it was the day I bought it...it retracts perfectly and the blade lock still locks securely and won't budge until I unlock it. The exterior cover is not very pretty and has some battle-scars to prove it has had some use, but, this tape measure works so well, I use it just about every time I need to get a measurement. Bought this tape 30 years ago. Has been used, but not abused, except for being dropped from the rafters a few times, left out in the weather, stepped on, having lumber dropped on it and having the end constantly getting caught, on one thing or another. The shine has worn off of the case and the Stanley label in half worn away. I've purchase new Stanley tapes thinking that I would retire this one, but they're in my toolbox and this one was in my tool belt. The end finally snapped off of the tape as it retracted the other day. Gee, only 30 years. I don't know. I'll probably try to replace the tape so it can live on.

I purchased mine in 2007 still going strong shows the quality of made in the US thank you Stanley for making a wonderful product I highly recommend this
