Stanley Tools Homeowner's Retractable Utility Knife, Metal

Yeah i bought on line and though eh it'll do for now , thinking it would be cheap plastic dollar store type . I was happy when picked up to find it is metal and pretty tuff. Got some weight to it too. I used it some bearing down more that normal for this review and it held fine. I paid under two seventy five and it's worth four i'ld say. Comes with one blade .

Not much to say. Its an inexpensive retractable utility knife. It works just as it should. I'm satisfied.

This knife is of good quality and it met all my expectations.

Very pleased with this. Handy and makes jobs like cutting up cardboard boxes so much easier. The blade comes out at different lengths. You can have just the tip of the blade come out or more, depending on the job. I like that. Of course the safety of having a fully retract is great. A good purchase.

Acquired as replacement; but not as good as my original one. However, still functions as it should

Very disappointed with the knife. The body is half plastic, not metal as stated. The blade holder mechanism inside the handle is also plastic. The tip of the blade hits the inside edge of the handle opening when retracted, preventing it from coming out again. If you fully retract the blade, you must unscrew the handle halves to get the blade out again. I can only use it as a bench knife, as you can't fully retract the blade. Nowhere near as good as the old Stanley knife it replaced

I was looking forward to receiving this knife so much, I ordered replacement blades in advance. Imagine my surprise when the knife arrived without a starter blade! It had a beautiful picture of one on a tab, but no blade.

They have made millions of similar utility knifes ,but now this is the cheapest built common carpenter tooI have ever purchased. It must have come from China. They need to go back to the old design which was metal not plastic that hangs up .

I just received this and am very disappointed. NO BLADE and FLIMSY CONSTRUCTION. Save your money. This is nowhere near as nice as the Stanley name used to mean.

They are half plastic and other metal and because are STANLEY COST MORE . OTHERS I BOUGHT ARE ALL METAL AND COST LESS , SO DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY PAID FOR THE BRAND STANLEY
