Have had this Stanley, clear throat, for I can not remember how long! Learned quickly that a hammer is more than just a hammer. It is my friend and it does take care of me. Hammering nails can be fatiguing and, sometimes, dangerous without the correct tool. My Stanley 16 oz. has never let me down. And, it looks good, too! I am a "senior" and good well balanced tools are, and have become, very important as my strength and endurance is slightly less than in past years. This is an item that was bought as part of a Christmas gift for my 10 year old son last year. He has used the hammer to put together bird houses, repair a fence using wire staples, and put up trellis. The amazing thing is that, since he had the tool to do those things, he did them on his own, without being prompted! This hammer is so nicely balanced that he can use it easily, and I can, too. I keep this hammer at my cabin and use it regularly when I'm there to make repairs, build things and whatever else you would need a hammer to do. It's very durable and feels good in your hand while using.

This hammer works like it should and is well made. It fell off a truck and when I picked it up there was hardly any damage.

16 oz is a little bit too heavy for me but it's a good grip but people that have stronger stronger arms..
