Envelopes have the extra 1/2 inch in each direction to allow for the extra pages we need to include with the file. Good quality paper.

These 9.5"x12.5" envelopes are very useful in keeping the mail moving! These envelopes are up to the task. Thanks!

This is the right size to put 8 by 11 papers. I file my papers in these envelopes and this keeps my cabinet neat.

Great value for the price.

This is a durable good density and good quality envelope for everyday use. The clasp is easy to use and the gum seal works perfectly every time. The clasp serves as added close security. The Staples product is comparable to the brand name at a fraction of the cost. We use the envelope for business and fill it with heavily for general mail and find that it never tears. A great product I anticipate using for s long time!!!

The only problem I have with these envelopes is that the adhesive is not strong enough to seal the contents therefore requiring the need for another tyoe of glue or tape to secure it.

ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS 9.5"X 12.25"

This size of envelope is not available in stores. If it were I would be more prone to shop at the store but this envelope met my immediate needs. It is a bit flimsy but with reasonable size 50 and less pages it will hold up ok. I don't quite understand why this size is not more popular. A lot of things do not fit in the standard 9 by 12 envelope. In the past 5 + years ago this envelope was available at Staples but the stores have discontinued stocking this size. I guess the answer is that there is only so much shelf space but a lot of stock for sale in the stores is not selling in my observation so I think by offering more sizes of envelopes sales would improve. Especially if no other store carries this size.

The real size of these envelopes is 9-1/4" x 12-1/2". The width is 1/4" less than specified. This is not a small difference. I had to return them.
