although they are thin these bags are Hardy enough to hold the shredding from my large machine. as long as you do not puncture them with a sharp item, they are more than capable of holding all of the waste you shred without rupturing. I have used this item for many years.

I've had this shredder for 8 years. I don't know why I didn't buy the bags back then. I've always used something else on hand though. 13 gallon kitchen bags are what I've used most recently and for the longest time. But nothing works like the part designed for purpose and these sit in the perfect location - at the bottom of the bin so the next one is right there on hand when it's needed.

I'm using these bags in a Tru Red Commercial Shredder (model TR-BXC16A). They fit the pull-out bin perfectly plus the 50-bag box stores easily at the bottom of the bin. When the shredder indicates that the bin is full there is enough empty space left in the bag to knot it up for disposal. No more shreds all over the floor/carpet! I think these bags would be wasted if used with a smaller personal shredder (unless non-shredded material were added to the bag).

The first roll of 25 bags had several that were damaged at the top, but I was able to use them.Not a good start when purchasing a new product!.Hopefully the rest will be okay or they will go back.

The bags cannot be recycled. So there is an inconvenience aspect. Instead of just tossing the filled bag into the recycling bin I have to manually dump it. II do reuse the bag however.
