Excellent sound and likeness of TV Series
I am a big fan of the TV show and and all of the Star Trek the movies. I always wanted a model of the Enterprise and this is perfect. Not too big and not too small. Love it. Thank you!!!
Bought for my grandson, for his birthday, he loves it. He's into Star Trek memorabilia so this was a great addition.
I have been wanting a model of this for years and I found this at a great price. I expected it to be cheap but it isn't. It's very well made and looks great in my office. The sounds and lights are fun. I wouldn't treat this as a toy, even if that's how it's categorized here. Beautiful model of the greatest spaceship of all time.
Fair price for a collectable toy from a series of toys that are no longer in production. I would like to see a push for the Playmates reproductions of Ninja Turtles to make some of the original playsets like the Technodrome. As well as reproductions from Star Trek such as the Tricorder.
Full Disclosure I am a huge Trekkie so will be biased! I absolutely love this iteration of the Enterprise. In fact there is only one Enterprise I love more and that is the Wrath of Kahn. I tried to buy this online but they ran out! Somehow I found two in store and had to get them as I prefer to have one in box and one out. The box design is awesome and and love the look they gave it. I wish they were numbered like the playmate ships of the 90's but I'll live. The three button design for sound effects was an interesting approach. One alternates between phasers and photon torpedo's which is kind of annoying as i always have it timed bad when Kirk says fire photon torpedoes I always seem to have phasers as the sound that button makes next. My Luck. All of Kirk's saying on the second button are cool and so are the ship sounds with the third. The thing that lit me up was that it lights! I turned off all the light and turned the ship on and was in love!!! I really wish they did the thrusters in red and am considering doing something to it for that effect but don't want to damage it in any way so still a work in progress and does not affect how I feel over all about its lighting up. I also truly appreciate how the stand allows the ship to be tilted at angles so it's not just a static ship sticking straight and flat. I have mine tilted going up cause it looks totally hot doing that!
This is a Star Trek collectable that normally sells for twice the amount Walmart is selling these for. This allows so many more people, especially senior Trekkies on a budget to have one in their home. Especially now with the airing of Star Trek Strange New Worlds, this ship has a co-starring role but for many this ship is the greatest of all Star Trek ships.
5 stars for the classic TV Enterprise spaceship! It has more sound effects, lights, and slightly bigger this time around. The 1st issue (in the 1990's) was a limited edition and number on the boxes.(Costing about $150 on the secondary market in 2022.)This version is a much improvement and cost $40 at retail right now before they are sold out.Live long and prosper, starship Enterprise!A star trek fan
This is currently the most affordable Enterprise toy I have been able to find in recent times but it comes with some caveats. I watched some Youtube reviews before picking this up in which they cover alot so I wont repeat them you can watch for yourself. Though, it is a toy and not a model or replica. The decals are mostly stickers and not paint. One on my example was crooked but I was able to reapply it straight. The stand is ok but flimsy. The ship will wobble around if you just bump the table its sitting on. I also noticed that some of the reviews on Youtube had blue lights for the propulsion but mine are white. I also saw one review where one of the thruster lights was not working. Considering the price, I would still recommend it but be prepared to return or replace it as qc has some inconsistencies.
The ship came broken. surprisingly Walmart is only offering refunds, but selling this at the regular price. Pretty scammy.
