Stargate: Continuum: The Complete Series (DVD)

This movie is really good. I enjoyed watching it. There is a great story line. I am a great "Stargate" fan. It is one of the best Stargate movies I have seen.

Those unfamiliar with Stargate SG-1 will enjoy the movie, however there will undoubtedly be more appreciation from those who have followed the series.

Yes, I have been a Stargate fan since the original Kurt Russell movie, so I may be a slight bit biased, but I have to say, this movie was a ton of fun! Large and generously sprinkled doses of wise-cracking and humor, and some great special effects showcasing the SG-1 characters. Behind it all is a wonderful musical score that makes you feel like this is a big screen theater release. Kudos to everyone who put this film together. The story was just familiar enough to be comfortable, but still felt fresh. The actors were in character to the point that it felt like no time had passed since I last spent time with SG-1. From production values to story to fan satisfaction, I personally give it a hearty "good job" and VERY eagerly await the next film! Personal points: I love that Ben Browder was such a leading character and tied him into the grandfather paradox--great stuff! I loved seeing Jack O'Neill and the way they worked him in and out of the time line. Good stuff! And the interesting turn within the alternate timeline with the other characters...very interesting stuff!

I'm a big SG-1 fan and I was disappointed in this movie. Ark of Truth was much better then this botched job of a film. Don't get me wrong - if you're a Stargate fan you'll probably like the movie. However, you know how sometimes in the regular season epsiodes you'd watch a "dud," well it's kinda like that. You'll like it because it's Stargate, but when it's over you'll probably say "man, that was kinda lame." Hope this review helps.

The movie was what I expected, and featured parts showing the humanity of the characters, even including some old characters not seen for awhile. I noticed Ra was not played by the same actor, which was a little disappointing but overall doesn't matter. I enjoyed seeing Don S. Davis, because although it was only a small part it was crucial to both Stargate fans and the movie. We also see how although the humans of earth are such a small part of the galaxy, the impact that SG:1 had was huge. This brings about a huge change in the way the galaxy is ran, it also features scenes of every day life of the characters and how much this change effects them. I would reccomend this movie for anyone who loves Stargate, or time travel movies as a whole. The green screen effects are quite well done, featuring excellent night scenes on a boat. The entire team put in a lot of extra work on this one, and it shows by how well the finished product is. I love the behind the scenes extras they put in this and would love another movie as well, it should be stated however that I enjoy seeing deleted scenes and outtakes when watching DVDs. I was disappointed to find that no outtakes or deleted scenes were part of the DVD.
