Not much to say about it. Tested it with a keyboard, PS3 and 360 controllers, and a 32GB flash drive on my phones, everything worked perfectly well as hoped. The micro USB end is slightly stiff going in or out of my phones compared to other cords, but if anything it's nice to know it won't fall out on accident :D
I don't like the way new phone models don't use removable storage. I enjoyed having multiple SD cards I could take out, transfer things onto from another device, switch, etc. I have a micro SD USB adapter, where you insert the micro SD and then stick it in a computer USB port. I used this with the OTG adapter and downloaded Total Commander (free Android app) and it shows the contents of the card perfectly. That alone is WELL worth the money. I also successfully used a USB mouse, which is kind of neat. I expect a wireless USB keyboard and my USB headset to work with ease too, but haven't tried either yet. My USB external hard drive works too. Simple, easy, works perfectly. And to top it off, it was delivered early and very inexpensive. This adds so much functionally to your device. Definitely recommend.
I got this to adapt the micro usb port on my Windows tablet (acer w3) to a usb port, so that I can connect my wireless keyboard. You can get a Bluetooth keyboard but they are much more expensive. With this adapted I can also use any other usb device (jump drive, setup a wireless printer). The length and quality are good too! I would order another one, if needed. Nobody in my town had these, and it took a bit of digging, but I'm glad I ordered this one.
Just the tool I needed in order to be able to transfer photos directly from my Canon DSLR to my Nexus 7. I use the camera cable and plug it into this adapter - works like charm. Great for being able to see my photos on a larger screen when I'm travelling.
This cable allowed me to connect a computer keyboard and mouse (either direct cable connect, or with a wireless setup) to my smartphone (Galaxy s3) and to a generic tablet. Also could connect SD adapter. Could not connect external hard drives, even one with its own power (the phone says that the disk is blank, which it is not). I have found websites that say it can be done but it looks like too much troubles. Files can easily be moved around with SD cards.
Purchased this for my new tablet. It works great. I connected the following: -Flash drive. Had no trouble with this one at all. -Mouse. Much to my surprise, my tablet recognized it and worked pretty smoothly with it. -USB Hub. Again, no problems here. I could use my flash drive and my mouse at the same time. -My old Alphasmart. Outdated technology, but it worked as a full-size keyboard for the tablet. Much better than the tiny keyboard that came with the one I got. I presume you should be able to connect any USB keyboard and use it if it'll work with my old Alphasmart. -Wacom tablet--unsuccessful. My device was able to recognize that it was there, but it wouldn't really work right. Still, I was impressed that it was able to recognize it at all since I'm pretty sure tablets aren't meant to support drawing tablets. There's still a lot I haven't gotten around to testing it with, but so far it's been working great for me. For what it's allowed me to do, it's a bargain at the price they're going for. I recommend picking one up for your tablet.
This product works well with my Moto X cell phone, but not my Acer tablet. Very hard to remove flash drive.
Works great and helps for using a full size usb port keyboard with a tablet..
Make sure you have a self powered USB hub as the tablet can't power All Your USB peripherals ! Not all USB peripherals require power but you can purchase a powered USB hub ! This setup allows me to use Wireless mouse and keyboard plus a wireless controller !
When received, the micro USB B side were crushed and did not look like the picture. There was no connection when plugged in. Defective / Damaged / Broken Don't get electronics from Hippo Deals
