Bought this for my grandson to replace his gaming keyboard that quit working. I didn't realize it wasn't a mechanical keyboard, that's why I only gave 4 stars for the keys. He likes the compact mechanical keyboards, BUT he says it looks great with the lighting and he has no probs gaming with it.
For the price you pay this keyboard is god like. Good, quiet mechanical keyboard, with nice feel. Gets the job done! This is of course far from pro keyboards, but for value u get its a no brainer. Great as a gift for the kids, which do not have rgb keyboards.
I like the TKL as I don't use the 10 keys and definitely saves room for mouse movement (keyboard and mouse are using the same space on keyboard drawer). RGB lights help light up the keyboard and not too bright. Setup was easy plug in and cord length is ample if one needs to reach. Keys are fairly responsive and it looks and feels durable.
Something on budget or fast for the moment? This for sure. Takes a sec to get used to cause its a small downsize from like a ryzen or steel series, but not a bad keyboard at all. Keeps up with my MSI and keys are beautiful. Definitely up to standards as needed.
Its oddly quiet, so you don't have to worry about all the clickity clacking you get for most keyboard like this. It's not a mechanical keyboard so the loudest it sounds, in my personal opinion, is loudly typing on a laptop keyboard. the colors are nice. i don't really do much of them outside the slow rainbow preset, Prism. The only real cons are that you HAVE to download the SteelSeries GG program, and it has to run in the background. Or else the only thing you're stuck with is the annoying bright, but oddly dark red back lighting. you also NEED to have the lights on to see the letters on the keys. They're transparent so if there's no backlight, or on a dark color, you can't see what you're typing. and let's be honest, even if you are a "touch typer" you still look down. It being such a big keyboard, you do gotta relearn where the keys are. Especially if you're like me and you're coming from a laptop keyboard. It is a pretty responsive keyboard and typing on it does feel great. There is also a volume knob on the upper right corner. I didn't know that when I bought it, so its a nice little feature to have. Overall its a good keyboard for gaming or if you're someone who like to yap on the internet a lot writing reviews.
I like that it does not have a 10-key pad as I never used it, but I miss a "Print Screen" button and have to do a keyboard command sequence in its place. I would prefer that it had mechanical cherry switches and a wrist rest pad, but overall it is comfortable, easy to use, and has cool customizable lighting effects. I bought it because I needed something spill-proof as I ruined my last keyboard with too much coffee spilt on it. So far so good.
The lighting is very customizable, but the customization requires downloading an app, which was troublesome for my father. It is missing the numbers pad, which wasn't a huge issue, but I didn't realize it when I purchased the item. Overall, great keyboard.
I would see that this keyboard is pretty versatile. It's got a bunch of different colors that automatically goes through or you can just turn them off. She's got a nice button sounds I do find it a little weird with like the music button. It's just a big square with no instructions on it or anything besides it giving you like a piece of paper and everything telling you what everything does, but on the actual board, it doesn't have like a logo on there kind of wish the caps lock and the numb lock buttons were a little bit larger for like the light for when it pops up, but besides that this keyboard is actually pretty good I like it
It needs software for the lights and things and that's annoying. Other than that it's plug in and play. The cable is sturdy, I like the small size too. It's easy to clean which is a big plus.
infinite color options, several adjustable light motion options. The only thing is how far you have to push the keys in, it's deeper than any keyboard I've used. Sometimes I accidentally skip letters as a result but overall great deal.
