I was actually surprised at how well this works! After just two days, and two insects, I ordered refills, since I knew it worked. It's a great value, since BOTH sides of the insert are sticky to catch double the insects before having to change...totally up to YOU when you change too...they recommend 30 days, or when full. Very easy to put together, very easy to use. Just plug it in, and you're done! Depending on WHERE you use it, it also doubles as a night light, but not too bright, just right. I highly recommend this item!

I got fruit flies from an evil friend. She gave me a bag full of peaches from off of a pickup truck from Georgia. We live in Minnesota. they had not been sprayed for insects. I haven't been able to get rid of those insects! But, I did get rid of the friend!

It works and catches the bugs for sure. My only issue is the whole front lights up which I get is supposed to attract the bugs better but it you have this in the kitchen you may want to look for a model that does light up as much in the front. But if you don’t care about the blue light this definitely works well.

It works some of the time, just wished it had something to stick directly on the front instead of in between. That way the bugs land where it's the brightest.

This is absolutely the worst product I have ever ordered. Had a massive gnat infestation due to ordering bird seed from Walmart the day prior, a thousand gnats swarm in my kitchen. Pictures to prove! Not one of the plugs has a bug on it. If you have a flying insect problem, use apple cider vinegar, sugar cover in Saran Wrap, poke a few small holes, I caught at least half of the swam. At least a hundred. This product is absolutely horrible and not worth the money not even a penny!!!! Doesn’t even deserve one star

I have Zevo and thought I’d give this a try based on price. No comparison, this thing does not work! It’s been plugged in for 3 days above my fruit bowl and hasn’t caught one fruit fly! I think it’s the fact that the outside is clear; the bugs are attracted to the front of it where there is no sticky pad. Get the Zevo instead, skip Stem.

Personally, I believe this was a waste of money. The concept of it I loved, but it didn't work at all. It caught one fruit fly over the course of five days whereas simple apple cider vinegar and dish soap traps caught dozens more than this did. Personally, I would save my money and get the apple cider vinegar.

Over a week or so, this thing caught exactly 2 gnats. I purchased another type of product (little plastic red apple shaped things with apple cider vinegar in them) and those caught 20 within a few days. My problem was eliminated but not by this product. I do not recommend.

I have an older one, the cheap paper-board kind, that has collected 12 gnats in two weeks. This one has collected NOTHING at all in the same period. I even switched the two's location after one week, in case one had the "sweet" spot. Just complete garbage. Does nothing at all.

A friend recommended me getting this for fruit flies. In addition to it being "fruit fly season," we had our windows open while our AC was being repaired. I placed the trap in my kitchen where I had dozens of fruit flies flying around. I have had it in use for over a week now with ZERO fruit flies or any other flying insects on it. I even turned off all the lights, including night lights, one night to see if it would make a difference. By the next morning there were still ZERO insects on the trap. Based on my experience, this product did not work at all.
