The assembly is difficult because certain screw holes were not drilled or not in correct location. Quality control needs to be addressed.
This was a last minute Christmas purchase for my 5 year old daughter and almost 2 year old son. They love it that they can both play together with it. They both have plenty to do and plenty of room. Very pleased with this purchase.
The first one we received was missing parts nothing would click together or go on it was Christmas Eve so we had to make it somewhat presenatable. Frustrated I wanted to completly return it but my kids were so in love with it. Tried calling the company for replacement parts waste of time no one picked up. Finally returned it figured we would just return and re-order the next one we received was perfect went together like butter only took us a 1/2 hour. My children love love love playing with it.
My kids love the kitchen, and play with it daily.
Purchased this for my daycare so it gets used a lot by little folks. It has to be durable and tough and it is. The pricepoint was good for me as the durable ones I've been looking into start at $1000.00 and as a small business I can't afford that much. Hoping it will last for years to come and the kiddos love it.
This was exactly what I expected. The quality is very durable for a child. The only issue my husband and I had was the instructions. The pictures were great but more verbiage in detail would have made putting the parts together much easier. My grand-daughter is going to love it. I wish we had this when I was a child.
My twin girls, age 3, absolutely love it. I on the other hand did not enjoy the 2 hours it took to put together. Some of the pieces did not fall into place as they should've and needed to be altered for assembly.
The kitchen itself is quite cute and my daughter loves it. My husband and I on the other hand are annoyed. There were missing pieces, hooks and several screws. I had to write to Step2 to get them shipped to me. My husband also had to make several of the holes bigger in order to put the side table top and the 2 pieces at the top that connect the 2 sides together. I expected much more from this, with it being a Step2 product.... especially for the price I paid. I attempted to write to the company about the quality of their product, but the only response I received was that they are sending my missing pieces. I am severely disappointed in Step2. If my daughters birthday party weren't 2 days away, I would've returned it and found something that's NOT Step2.
It's nice that they give you all of the "food", but there's NO room to store it in this kitchen. The floor is really cheap made. Inside, behind the grill the shelves are competently useless - you can't fit nothing on on, maybe the apples or donuts. the plates don't fit in the white cabinet. The stoves piece that makes the cooking noise doesn't fit - it sticks out - I tried and tried to fit it, but no luck. It definitely needs roof, and some sort of drainage in the sink - drilling the hole won't help, because there's the drawer and oven. I wouldn't buy again (especially for that amount), wanted to return it, but after my toddler saw it, it was impossible.
Much too difficult to assemble, instructions were not very specific. The top parts that connected both sides would not fit properly and holes had to be made bigger so it could be finished. Very disappointed in it for the price of it. It appears to be so much bigger, showing several kids in it. No way it's big enough for that.
