We just bought our house and it was the first thing we purchased after moving in. It looks fantastic out front. The color was a good match and it was much more sturdy than any of the others we looked at. Assembly was a great fear, (we are two women and two young boys) but that was great too!
Step2 MailMaster Express Plus Plastic Mailbox Mocha Finish. Mailbox was easy to assemble, just place it over exciting pole and screw a few screws or bolts in to secure. What I didn't realize was that both compartments have doors on the back side also. I didnt need this feature but, it does the job it was intended to do.
This review is for Step2 MailMaster Express Plus Plastic Mailbox Mocha Finish This is a very nice looking and sturdy mailbox. Good size for letters and packages. Very easy to install. Dig hole , put 4*4 wood, add concrete, wait for concrete to cure and put mail box on the wood. My family loves the look.
Seems excellent product well built! Vendor, Walmart did outstanding job Fed Ex upon delivery decided leave package next closed garage door. Upon exiting garage ran over package partially as could not see it my mirror or backup camera. Fed Ex know better especially since walk thru door next garage and covered large front porch.
It's a 2 layer box, so you will need to cut 2 feet off the 4x4 x6. Or dig the hole at least 3 ft. deep. I put several extra stainless screws to make it more secure. Make sure you measure everything twice. Distance from the curb %26 the height of the box.
Good mailbox hopefully it lasts for years the problem I have with it every time mail gets put into the front the back door opens, I flipped the magnet seemed to help a little I think mine came with a bad magnet other than that it seems good and was a great price
This mailbox does not come with numbers or letters. You have to buy them separately or make them with your Crafting supplies. I don't know why we got the one with the paper compartment who gets a paper these days. But I like it. Very sturdy, a the curb appeal is nice.
I really loved how big and sturdy this mailbox was at first then after just a week, the door flaps keep popping open. Just about every day that i come home the door flaps are open and our mail is all over the yard, road, and neighbors yard. I am having to tape the back side door flap up so that it wont open. it seems to help so the wind is not blowing the front flap open. The magnet really does not a stronger hold. thats my only complaint! the mailbox itself is sturdy as long as you install it correctly and holds my small packages and mail.
I'm sorry, but it's too large for me and in my house. I have a one story home and a small yard in the front and this is too huge for me. I didn't realize it's so big so I think I have to return that. OK maybe I'll I'll get some more. That is cute and small, smaller portion.
I installed this "exactly" per the instructions and the wood post is much longer than the actual mailbox post that slides over it meaning the wooden post is showing several inches at the bottom. To fix it would require a complete disassembly and digging the hole deeper. And my biggest issue is that the mailbox will NOT stay closed!!!!! It ALWAYS falls open ... both doors!! It is Extremely frustrating!!! Mail could get blown all over before I ever see it. Now I see in other reviews that this is a real issue. I do NOT recommend!!! And there isnt a smooth area for address numbers. Mine have already fallen off after only 2 months.
