Not the best looking item but it is sturdy and did the job. The mailbox I got covers it anyways. Easier than digging a hole and using concrete.

This is not a stand alone post that you can mount a mailbox on, it goes inside another actual post.

This is just a 4x4 and a piece of cut angle iron.
The 4x4 was to big for the post it is designed for to slide over. I had to cut it down with a table saw. Also, I don't think the post is treated so I waterproofed it so as not to rot. The old system for this setup was much better. Would still be there if a Semi hadn't mowed it down. Cheap

Wood block was cracked on arrival. I have to repair it before i use it. Too much trouble to ship back.

The post was to mount a mail box but is much to short to use as is so low to the ground the mail person would have to hang out of window to open box therefore use less.
