I use 7-8 Sterlite 1 gallon pitchers from April through September to store my Hummingbird water. I once bought another brand but they didn't fit well in the refrigerator. I buy the 6 count case and give one to folks trying to feed hummingbirds. I make 5 gallons of bird water about every three days. Needless to say these are the only pitchers I use. Thanks
It was shipped in a strong box so there was no damage to it. It shipped quickly. Have been using these Sterilite pitchers for years. Very well made, BPA free. Highly recommend.
PROS: --A great value for a set of 6 --It does hold a gallon--but just barely. --Things in contact with any liquid can be taken apart to be cleaned, so there's no place for bacteria to hide. --It's not just for water. You can transfer milk/juice straight into it and not have to clean store-bought containers (yes, I do feel a need to do this during the pandemic) CONS: --Some of them--not just one-- came defective, with bubbling in the plastic, near the top of the handle. --The biggest nuisance was in the way that the spout was designed. Although it is curved to contain and control the liquid as you pour, there is no tilt-back angling or sloping in the spout, which results in puddling of the liquid that just sits there at the mouth. Now even if you close the opening, this little puddle will spill if you tilt the pitcher as you carry it back to the fridge. I tilted the pitcher, trying to make the puddle go back inside or else pour it into my cup, but couldn't get it to satisfactorily go away. This is a problem mentioned by another reviewer. Sterilite needs to adjust the design of the spout by angling it instead of having it come straight out from the pitcher's body, because having to wipe off the liquid each and every time you use the pitcher is a big pain. --Another problem others have mentioned is the splattering issue. I have found this to be true when you flip the open-flap to pour or to close. The only way to minimize this problem is to very slowly and gingerly flipping the top. I'll leave the redesign ideas up to the Sterilite folks. I hope they read reviews. --One pitcher was slightly leaking out of the tightly closed lid.
I bought two of these. They fit great in the fridge and are great for making tea and other drinks. A few weeks after buying them the lids cracked. One where the spout opens and the other along the lip of the container under the spout. I now jave one lid for two jugs. I wish there was a way to get new lids. Anyway, i bought another brand with a different style lid, but it does not fit in the fridge and leaks when I pour it. So I am stuck with the inferior lids.
Description said package of 6. . I only received a single pitcher as can plainly be seen. I double checked the description to make sure I was correct because why would they use such a large box with reams of packing paper for a single item? Not happy!
Pack of 6 only gave me one and stuffed a bunch of paper in it
Really pathetic that products are advertised with every intention to mislead the consumer. Item description reads 6 count but only 1 received.
When I saw the box I thought there's no way this was my package. It was very tiny and about the size to fit a single pitcher (this is a pack of 6 that I purchased) when I opened it was correct, only one of the 6 items was actually sent to me. Huge bummer! Now since it's a 3rd party seller Walmart can do nothing but message the seller while I have to wait 2 days to see if they respond before anything can be done at all. Wouldn't recommend buying these bc you probably won't get what you were promised.
Whomever picked the item, there is a hole in the pitcher. Kind of a waste of my time, now I have to return to my store. If it was the last one, I would have rather not gotten the pitcher at all!
This did NOT come with a lid , at all!!!!
