When I received my Galaxy S6 I was a little confused with the phone. I did not understand the applications it took to transfer my data from my Galaxy S3. I had to read more of the manual and thing I learned. At that point I found how simple it was. Let me tell you it was a good idea for me to jump up past the other models. I'm not saying anything bad about the other models. I wanted a S5. The opportunity to to purchase a S5 did not happen so I upgraded to the S6. Boy am I happy. This phone exceeded my expectations and gets easier and easier to operate. So with all that being said, I would recommend the Galaxy S6 as a great android phone...
I FINALLY purchased my first smartphone through Straight Talk. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S6 and ... so far, I am really, really happy with it. I paid $299 before tax and I thought if I want a really good cell phone - within my budget - I need to be willing to pay the price for it. I believe the customer gets what they pay for. Sometimes that is actually true.
I bought one for my wife and one for myself a year ago. They downloaded Android version 6 as soon as I turned them on. These are great smart phones. After reading some negative reviews it seems people do not know much about smart phones or installing apps they need.
I been a owner of iPhones but switched to Galaxy 6 ,s. No comparison so many cool features an excellent phone to own I'm so glad and happy that I got rid of my iPhone such a boring phone .i would recommend to anyone who has iPhone to switch to a Samsung Galaxy smartphone you will be glad you switched.
I have owned (and still do own) almost every variation of Samsung device. Started with a Galaxy S then a S4,then a S5, S5 active, Note 3, and on and on. Not to mention smart TV, tablets, laptops - everything! I love this S6 because of the security of the fingerprint scanner (which actually works), Samsung Pay, and moving from the plastic case adds the last little touch to show what a great, classy, beautiful device this S6 is!
This is my third smartphone and is the best of all by far. I love the camera resolution and the battery life is awesome. I could never finish the day on one charge with its predecessors and this one drops 20 percent a day. I am running 6.0.1. One design issue I have is the sensitivity of the back button in the lower right hand corner. My old fat fingers find that spot too easily - small issue probably only mine. The display is great.
I'm 70 years old and tech savvy but I seldom use a mobile phone so I have had a flip phone for years, mostly in case of an emergency. I never really saw a need for a smartphone, but I recently decided I needed to catch up to catch up to current technology so I did a lot of research and narrowed my choices to the iPhone 6s and the Galaxy S6. I loved the look and feel of the galaxy and it had excellent reviews so I went with it and have not regretted the decision. The screen beats the IPhone and I love all the features. I still seldom use talk or text but I have found that I use apps daily to access my OneDrive files, track fitness, listen to music, and read all my magazines and newspapers. Now, the galaxy is my constant companion.
Bought this phone and it would freeze up, did this a lot. Had it almost a year and it froze up I turned it off and tried to turn it back on as I usually do and nothing happened, I called Straight Talk they told me how to do a factory reset but it didn't work so I had to send it back to Straight Talk they said when they got mine they would send out another one well they got mine on Oct 4th didn't get my replacement phone until Oct 16th and it was refurbished with the charging port damaged so had to send it back again. Over a month without a phone and also Straight Talk wouldn't refund the money I spent for a card that month
the phone continuously shuts off by itself will not stay on for long periods of time phone completely sucks. I have on the phone since December everyone keeps telling me it's because it's not getting updates but no matter what I do the phone will not stay on
This was a huge disappointment - first I would have never purchased this phone if I had realized it was on ATT - where I travel Verizon towers are best so far. I paid more than what it is listed for and as soon as I can I will either quit Straight talk or go back to the Samsung 3 or 4. It took several months to get the correct sim card to even use it - of course even though it was new Walmart would not let me return it - so I am still thinking do I go back to the carriers who offer assistance.
