Solid
This 4k Steelbook is awesome and has a good quality sleeve outside of the steelbook as well. Very much worth the price and a solid 4k with good visuals and modest special features. (No Spoilers ahead) The film itself is very well made with good acting but the thing to remember is that this film is a remake/reimagining of the original AND an intended part 1 of 3 (hence “Chapter 1”). With that in mind the filmmakers are very clear as to the intention with this film, reimagine the first film with call backs to the original while setting forth a new path for parts 2 and 3. It succeeds in making me want to see the next chapters in the trilogy, but does it succeed in achieving the same intensity of the original film? The best way to describe it is this, the original film feels like it keeps you in the tension throughout the entire film while this one feels like it is trying to pick up the pace with everything. If you have seen the original this one might feel a little faster or even rushed compared to the original experience, but if this is your on-ramp to The Strangers (or if you didn't like the original slower pacing) it might be just the right pace. It is well made and a lot of appreciation and respect was given for the original which I always appreciate. I am looking forward to the next Chapters!

The Strangers Chapter 1 is…..
The movie was ok for what it is, not a revolutionary new concept, not even that far removed from the events of the 2008 film. The film lacked the tension of the original, the acting was good, I just wish the story was more original than it ended up being.

They will make a jump scared
I was so scared throughout the whole movie, it's an amazing experience in 4K. This new book has a beautiful artwork and a cardboard.
