Great weight, texture, and tone.
I love this gray toned paper. I mostly use it for my ink and prisma pencils. i wish i could get it in my store instead of waiting to be shipped.

Strathmore Toned Sketch Paper Pad, 400 Series, 9in
I use these toned Strathmore Sketch pads for charcoal and pastel studies. They are the perfect quality and tone for both portrait and landscape and I would recommend them.

Great Paper to use Graphite and Charcoal Pencil.
Great paper to use with graphite and charcoal pencils. Glad Walmart carries these art supplies that are often hard to find in Art Supply Stores.

Holds pastels but feels lightweight
Purchased to use with pastels. This paper is lighter weight than what I've been using but it does a good job in "holding" chalk-style pastels (I've attached an example). It has serration but the paper doesn't tear out as easily as I would expect partially because of how lightweight the sheet itself is. The paper can be cut cleanly with scissors (the drawing is on a half sheet).
