Strathmore Watercolor 6” x 12” Art Paper Pad

Nice textured paper for getting nice smooth blends. Paper took pigment well and grabbed water just enough to keep it in place while allowing for beautiful wet on wet blends. I even did a project on the back of this paper because it was more textured than the front and it might have turned out better.

I use this size to sketch and paint my way through my travels. It holds up well to travel bumps and my painting. I use a travel Inktense kit for my paint. I love the combo!

I love this paper. It holds a lot of water which lets me apply many layers.

The product was as expected, but came damaged from shipping, and I appreciate Jerrys artarama's quick response in replacing it.

I've been a fan of Strathmore papers. I saw this shape, new to me, and I decided to have it delivered since it wasn't immediately available in the store. Walmart Got it and the other things I ordered , to me in a timely manner and I am truly enjoying the different orientation.

This paper withstands stretching, resizing, and several dunks in a water bath. Great for alternative process photography, I can imagine it would work great for painting as well.

great size for taking outside or working out ideas. Using as a watercolor journal. Paper surface is on the smoother side for a cold press.

Strathmore 400 series watercolor 6 x 12 paper is excellent and I would recommend highly. Texture is perfect and colors blend in beautifully. I recommend.

I conducted an experiment on 2 small pieces. I soaked the sizing off of one of the pieces in lukewarm water for 10 minutes and then took off the sizing with a sponge. I found after I did that this paper performed better in accepting paint with less streaking. It's going to be great for my practicing before doing my final on a higher grade of paper. I also like to use it with oil pastels.

New to watercolor painting, but in my opinion this paper had a satisfactory thickness and absorption of my splotches.
