I really liked this seasoning. It gave the chicken a lot of flavor without making it taste too heavy. I could taste a little sweetness with the garlic and smoky flavor. Everything worked well together. It was easy to use, and the chicken came out really flavorful. I would definitely use this again.
Did not know what to expect from Stubb's Chicken Rub; I am not usually a pre-made seasoning kind of guy. However, I was provided a free sample of this seasoning and can easily say it will be come a staple with my chicken recipes in the future. The ingredients all work really well together, to create a tangy, savory flavor, which is not overpowering.
I absolutely loved this seasoning! I used it on chicken breasts, and they turned out incredibly juicy, flavorful, and delicious. It has a subtle honey mustard-inspired flavor that adds the perfect balance of savory and tangy without being overpowering. I also love that it packs so much flavor without adding extra calories. The packaging is great and easy to use, and I'm already excited to try it on other foods like roasted vegetables, salads, and potatoes. This is definitely going to become a staple in my pantry!
Juicy, perfectly charred on the outside with that irresistible smoky flavor locked in—every bite was tender, flavorful, and restaurant-quality. The even heat distribution made it foolproof: no dry spots, just moist, delicious chicken that had the whole family going back for seconds. Seasoning clung beautifully, and the results looked (and tasted) pro-level in under 20 minutes. Hands-down the best grilled chicken I've ever made at home. 10/10—buy it, fire it up, and thank me later!
I received the spice for free from Bzzagent and Stubbs in exchange for my honest review. The Stubbs Chicken Rub with Sea Salt, Honey, Garlic, and Mustard is a quick and easy way to add flavor and impact to chicken that you make! just dry rub it on, or add it to any sauce you cook with for a smokey sweet perfectly balanced flavor. It's got high quality ingredients with no filler. The salt is sea salt, the sugar is cane sugar and Demerara sugar. it's all natural and just perfect
This is a great product. I own several other spice blends from the same manufacturer, Stubb's, and I've always been a fan of the brand. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and feels premium; the blend is well balanced, and the price is very reasonable for the quantity you get. Regarding the tasting experience, I initially thought the mustard would be overpowering because of the strong mustard aroma coming from the bottle, but that wasn't the case. The first bite had a pronounced smoky flavor that I found slightly unpleasant, mainly because I've never been a fan of liquid smoke or overly artificial, lingering flavors. But it quickly evolved to sweeter and tangier notes, and I really like the flavor profile. Once I was done eating, I still had the smoky flavor in my mouth, and that was a bit disappointing. My only concern is the shelf life. I've had products from the same brand go bad after only a few months once opened, either because humidity affected the texture and flavor or because spice bugs made their way into the bottle. Overall, I believe this is a strong product, even if it wasn't a perfect match for my personal taste. The smoky flavor was a bit too pronounced for me, so I wouldn't purchase it again myself. That said, my wife and the rest of my family really enjoyed it and would gladly buy it again and use it regularly.
Okay I need to talk about this Stubb's Chicken Rub because it's been living on my counter for weeks now. I grabbed it on a whim for weeknight chicken and honestly wasn't expecting much from a rub — but the sea salt, honey, garlic and mustard combo is such a good balance. It's savory with just enough sweetness from the honey that it caramelizes really nicely when you sear or roast the chicken, no candy-sweet weirdness. What sold me long-term: it's NON-GMO verified, and the seasoning itself isn't overly salty like a lot of store-bought rubs where you basically get flavored salt. You can actually taste the garlic and mustard coming through. I've used it on grilled chicken thighs, in a stir-fry, and even sprinkled a little into a soup for extra depth (see photo, lol) — it's versatile enough that it's not just a "grill season" seasoning. 5.04oz bottle has lasted way longer than I expected too. If you're tired of bland chicken or over-salted rubs, this one's worth having in rotation. 🐔🧄🍯
This chicken rub was easy to use and this particular brand stands out so it's easy to spot. I would buy this product. I only had to use about 1/4 of the bottle to use on 5 chicken breasts. I would recommend this flavorful addition to friends and family. It paired well with my baby golden potatoes and fresh green beans.
I really enjoyed using Stubb's Chicken Rub. It has a great balance of savory, slightly sweet, and smoky flavors that gave my chicken a delicious taste without being overpowering. The seasoning coated the meat well and helped create a flavorful crust while keeping the chicken juicy. I also like that it uses simple ingredients, has no artificial flavors, and can be used on more than just chicken. I'll definitely keep this in my spice cabinet for grilling, baking, or air frying.
I received this seasoning free in exchange for my honest review. While it was provided at no cost, I always review products from an objective perspective. Overall, this seasoning has a pleasant, mild flavor and a decent ingredient list. I would have preferred the ingredients to be a bit cleaner, as it contains natural flavor and smoke flavoring. The aroma immediately reminded me of stuffing. The flavor is well-balanced and not spicy, making it a great option for anyone who wants to add savory flavor to their meals without any heat.
