No additional plastic tray to contend with or become waste. Just slide the suet right into the feeder from the wrapper. Woodpeckers love it, too.

I used this a year back and the birds I feed, and squirrels did finally eat the product. This time no dice on eating this. I do not have woodpeckers not knowing for sure what birds I have being not able to get close enough to take photos. I tried at another place and it did not work. I am not blaming the product just the birds. I have seen this used at another place and worked fine. I was surprised the squirrels did not eat the corn in the product.

The birds liked this suet but it came only wrapped in cellophane and not in a tray. The suet itself was very crumbly and broke apart in large pieces as I took it out of the wrapper. I had to try to press it together with my hands but it still didn't stay in a block and was very messy. Because it was so crumbly, it fell apart as soon as the birds started pecking at it and I'm sure a lot of it ended up falling out of my suet cage onto the ground for the squirrels. Maybe it was a bad batch but I'm hesitant to purchase again.

there was more of the oil mixture than there were seeds. the birds didn't eat it like the last pack i bought. won't buy it again.

This product was far below my expectations/ I have been feeding woodpeckers for about 10 years along with other birds. I have had to take suet down after it being in the feeder for weeks as I knew it would not be eaten. They came looked at it and left or just lit on the feeder and skipped to the next area of my deck. With the recent cold spell and winter storm, I decided to try again and filled feeders with it. They did nibble at it but very little is gone. The titmouse seemed to enjoy it more. Over a period of 5 days, only about one fourth of the cake is gone. .

The birds will not eat it as unfortunately it's poor quality. Very greasy to the touch due to way too much fat and a small amount of seeds. Very disappointing!

These are way too expensive and Walmart.com gets mixed up easily. They had a deal where they sold 2 boxes of 10 cakes (20 total cakes) for about 18 bucks. i ordered 2 (which would 4 boxes of 10 or 40 cakes), and only received 2 boxes of 10 which would be one of the order of 2. On the box was printed "to be sold as set of 2", but they didn't read that and i only got 2 boxes. Now on Walmart.com one box of 10 cakes is 18 bucks. Too much. I would never had paid that...but i did.
