Soil appears to be legit. Too soon to tell. I purchased this bag because of the volume and lack of fertilizer in it. Costs a lot more than Miracle Grow (which I use all of the time for other types of plants.) African Violets are very particular so I purchased what appears to be quality soil without fertilizer. This is a Canadian product. I always TRY to buy American. If I cannot buy American made, I look of options from favorable countries of origin, like Canada, as I avoid Chinese origin goods even if the price is double.
