Sun Joe 2-in-1 Cordless Grass Shear + Hedger, 7.2-Volt (Green)

This device is easy to use and very effective for my intended uses of light brush and weed trimming along the flagstone pathways around my house. No problems with trimming weeds very close to flagstone surfaces. I have had no problems of any kind during moderately heavy use during the past few months of the weed and brush rapid growth season. There appear to be conflicting instructions in the Owner's Manual regarding battery charging and storage. Page 8 says not to leave the trimmer plugged into the charger, and Page 10 says it is ideal to leave the battery connected to the charger. P. 8 – Charging Procedure This charger does not automatically turn off when the battery is fully charged. Please take care not to leave the grass shear + hedge trimmer plugged into the charger. Switch off or unplug the charger at the mains when charging is complete. P. 10 - Storage When the tool will not be used for several months, it is ideal to leave the battery connected to the charger.

couldn't wait to get this in the mail. Wasn't disappointed at all. Used it the first two days I had it and got the back and front yards back in shape easily. Tool is easy to handle and as I am elderly, this was a big plus. I wish all my gardening tools were as easy to use. Would recommend it to everyone.

I post photos of gravestones online as a hobby, for use by genealogists. Many markers are flush to the ground and get overgrown with grass to the point of obscurity. This trimmer is very useful in clearing away the grass so I can take photos, much more powerful than others I have tried, and holds a charge for a couple of hours, which is about as long as I can take the ups and downs. I used to get blisters using scissors.

I read the reviews and look at what I was getting. One review said they tried the long bar on the Boxwood bush and said it did not cut it, and the forward facing one work well. I have 8 small Boxwood bushes is why I bought it. Both attachments work very well. A great tool to have for small jobs and touch up work. Very happy. the battery last for one hour, great for trimming my boxwood chicken and rabbit, it used to take me over 2 hours by hand and I was left with a sore wrist after. W the Sun Joe cordless trimmer I can trim them up in 20 minutes , love this product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

These grass shears are fantastic. I liked mine so much that I lent them to my sister for a week. She was so impressed that she asked me to order her a pair. I particularly like the fact that they can be used, start to finish, with one hand. All the other brands I've used over the years require both hands -- in the absence of incredibly long fingers -- to get them running. The higher voltage also makes a huge difference.

Grass trimming blade works well. For changing to hedge trimming blade I found it tricky as to undoing the tab of the blade cover. Strength in my fingers and stiffness of the cover to open and again close were frustrating. The cutting blade cover should be recommended to be on the blade while handling. Being a full plastic blade cover, the tab looks like it may not be strong enough to last through the multiply times blades will be changed. If breakage occurs can the cover be replaced easily especially with my extended warranty?

I got this grass shear to trim and cut a variety of things on my property. I used it to cut down tall, overgrown, dry grass along the edges of a steep ditch. It is 8 feet deep and impossible to mow, and too awkward for a weed wacker. I stood in the bottom of the ditch, and reached overhead and trimmed down the sides of the slope using the hand clipper. It was a tedious process, but this clipper did the job. The grass shear blade is very efficient and aggressive, and I was able to cut and clear an 80' section of 4 foot tall dry grasses on one battery charge. The run time is over an hour. I also used the same blade to prune back some heathers, and it does a good job with that too. The hedger blade is not nearly as effective as the grass shearing blade. That blade could be better. I think it is best suited for very fine shaping, and on more tender growth. It is more of a fine grooming tool, and I would recommend using the grass shear blade to do any primary cutting, and the hedging blade for fine shaping and very light duty trimming only. I am very pleased with this tool overall, and it has plenty of power, and works very well. I give this 4 stars, but would give it 5 stars if the hedger blade was more effective. It is not like a full sized hedge trimmer, so don't expect it to perform like a standard hedge trimmer would.

Works very well. A bit of a challenge to change from the grass trimmer head to the hedge trimmer head. Not as easy as it looks. Very disappointed in the fact that it wasn't made more clear that it had an UN-RE-PLACE-ABLE battery!!! So when battery can no longer charge (and heat/cold shorten the battery's life so don't store in the garage!) you have to throw it away and purchase another one. Expensive disposable item!!!!!

The one i purchased before these two was incredible. it did the most amazing job! This one felt like it was cutting or tearing the grass and weeds. much lile the blade was dull!
