Sun Joe 2-in-1 Cordless Grass Shear + Hedger, 7.2-Volt (Green)

These grass shears are fantastic. I liked mine so much that I lent them to my sister for a week. She was so impressed that she asked me to order her a pair. I particularly like the fact that they can be used, start to finish, with one hand. All the other brands I've used over the years require both hands -- in the absence of incredibly long fingers -- to get them running. The higher voltage also makes a huge difference.

I post photos of gravestones online as a hobby, for use by genealogists. Many markers are flush to the ground and get overgrown with grass to the point of obscurity. This trimmer is very useful in clearing away the grass so I can take photos, much more powerful than others I have tried, and holds a charge for a couple of hours, which is about as long as I can take the ups and downs. I used to get blisters using scissors.

I have used this product three times since purchase and find it to be the best grass shears that I have owned. It is easy to operate with the safety feature, feels comfortable in my hands and has a good amount of power.

Well made and durable. No problems cutting edges. I haven't used it for hedges so I can't comment. I used it for areas my weed wacker can't get. Yes, I would recommend this. The pricing seems to depend on the color, I bought grey. I received this less than a week after ordering it. I'm glad I was home when it was delivered because it comes in its original packaging and it was obvious what it was. Not that it would deter step Pirates if it was in a plain brown box!

I previously had another brand of hedge trimmer which battery died a after a couple of years (probably because I left it plugged in most of the time. The Sun Joe works great! Love both the grass shear and the hedge trimmer. The shear worked best on the Ninebark bush - branches are too fragile for the trimmer. The trimmer worked great on the boxwood pruning and the cedar trees. It was a little too small for old growth raspberry bushes that had not been trimmed in a couple of years. (stems too thick for it) The battery lasts very long with no charging. I used it for days trimming, before I finally had to charge it. Changing blades takes a little practice. Once you do it a couple of times, it gets easier. Highly recommend the Sun Joe!

This is just what we have been looking for! Had looked for a clipper last year and gave up......I'm glad because now I have a clipper for plants & grass! Product was shipped quickly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Snow Joe or Snow Sun. Love their products!

I was unsure what to expect from this inexpensive, lightweight, battery powered trimmer. But it has so exceeded my expectations. It does the job, holds its charge well, recharges fairly quickly, is very lightweight, and has made maintaining my backyard easier than it has ever been before. Thanks for a great product!

I got this grass shear to trim and cut a variety of things on my property. I used it to cut down tall, overgrown, dry grass along the edges of a steep ditch. It is 8 feet deep and impossible to mow, and too awkward for a weed wacker. I stood in the bottom of the ditch, and reached overhead and trimmed down the sides of the slope using the hand clipper. It was a tedious process, but this clipper did the job. The grass shear blade is very efficient and aggressive, and I was able to cut and clear an 80' section of 4 foot tall dry grasses on one battery charge. The run time is over an hour. I also used the same blade to prune back some heathers, and it does a good job with that too. The hedger blade is not nearly as effective as the grass shearing blade. That blade could be better. I think it is best suited for very fine shaping, and on more tender growth. It is more of a fine grooming tool, and I would recommend using the grass shear blade to do any primary cutting, and the hedging blade for fine shaping and very light duty trimming only. I am very pleased with this tool overall, and it has plenty of power, and works very well. I give this 4 stars, but would give it 5 stars if the hedger blade was more effective. It is not like a full sized hedge trimmer, so don't expect it to perform like a standard hedge trimmer would.

Works very well. A bit of a challenge to change from the grass trimmer head to the hedge trimmer head. Not as easy as it looks. Very disappointed in the fact that it wasn't made more clear that it had an UN-RE-PLACE-ABLE battery!!! So when battery can no longer charge (and heat/cold shorten the battery's life so don't store in the garage!) you have to throw it away and purchase another one. Expensive disposable item!!!!!
