I bought this not knowing if it was going to be strong enough or not cuz a friend told me 4:00 amps is not very strong well when I used it just the other day I was very impressed it's very strong durable and I love it it's lightweight and I can handle it I have a back problem....

The Sun Joe TRJ13STE Electric Grass Trimmer works great! The only question I have is, once the initial spool of trimmer line is empty, do I need to buy another one or can I simply load additional trimmer line manually into the existing spool? Thanks!

I'm thrilled with this excellent electric weed eater! I wasn't quite sure what to really expect as this particular brand was only available for home delivery, but I am pleasantly surprised. Instructions were an easy read as was minor assembly that was required. From the word Go this baby performed exceptionally well and was remarkably easy to use. I highly recommend this super fine home investment tool and foresee many years of excellent work.

This is the best trimmer/edger anyone can buy. Easy to assemble. Spool already threaded. Works well cutting down weeds and edging grass. Special hook to keep electrical cord from getting in the way. Fast and very efficient. For this price you can’t go wrong.

I like this tool because in the past I don't need to gas up or charge up to rid weeds or do edging. I can just plug up this tool with an outdoor extension cord and get the job done--no stopping and starting to recharge or gas fills. With a strong arm, one can handle it because it's not light in weight. However, Sun Joe made it and their tools are good!

Perfect, works well and faster than some other trimmers, very surprised cause the price was low, very light and already had the trimmer thread in, out door task easily done, thank you so much for being very good to your customers

our gas trimmer died last month - we wanted something cheap to finish this year out. this is our first elec. trimmer. so not crazy about about the cord but can deal with it. HATE auto line feed. it is not really auto. you have to release the trigger super fast and repull it before the trimmer dies to feed the line. a HUGE PIA to do. i could not get a natural flow going doing that. we were a month behind in trimming - and it took a long time - i was trimming for nearly 4 hrs- we only have a small size pc property - but the trimmer got almost everything back in order- there were a few spots it just would not cut. in those 4 hrs i only had to take apart the line spool and fix a tangle once. used about 3/4 of the line on the spool. hubby and i discussed buying the spools or winding ourselves . i feel the spools are a HUGE waste of plastic. horrible for the enviroment. but we could not get the spool wound properly and the trimmer run. i personally feel like companies do this on purpose to force us to buy more. because i could not find a single spool. had to end up buying a 6pack. so the trimmer is about as useful as any trimmer. in 30 some yrs of yard care i have had many gas trimmers they all had issues. this one is no different. spool tangles that auto feed is horrid drag a cord vs messing with gas and oil. the one feature i do enjoy about elec vs gas is how easy the elec starts. so in the future we will buy another gas trimmer. this one will be a backup.

This worked well when I first got it but now that I am half way through the string, it's freezing up and breaking "just like all the other horrible string weed eaters"! This one has a nice feature when you shut it off, the string comes out a bit but that won't work now that the string is glued to itself. I took it apart and literally had to use pliers to get some string out. I will have to pull all the string out and re-string it. I am pretty sure this is from age. I think when these get old, they stick together. Or maybe the string is warm/hot and melds together when they are making it. Who knows, I just know it's stressful and ruins your day.

It's impossible to keep both strings out at the same time. If one breaks, you have to remove the line cartridge to run the line out of the holes. I live in town so my yard is not that big, yet I have not managed to do the whole thing in one day. I'm ready to chunk this one in the trash.

Spool lasts for maybe 1000 sq ft lot with “normal” landscaping. Manual feed. Light weight. But it has been impossible to get replacement spools or to switch to a blade because they're “sold out.” Not worth the hassle and now has been a waste of my money.
