[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this blanket because sometimes my anxiety stops me from falling asleep as fast as I would like.I heard weighed blankets would help and at first I was skeptical. I was really pleasantly surprised and will definitely tell my friends and family about this blanket and get another one just in case.

I was a little skeptical about this item. However, my daughter really wanted a weighted blanket to lay/sit on the couch. This was only brand I found with armholes and cutout for neck. She is absolutely thrilled. The blanket is extremely soft on one side and other you can use if you would like a more cooling effect instead of warmer. Do be aware 15 lbs to carry between your bedroom and living room is extremely heavy. You wouldn't think so, but it is. Does not feel heavy once you are under it. She has decided to use it in her bedroom and thanks me at least every other day. It appears to be well made, no loose strings, and seams appear to be straight and sturdy. The color is something that will go with most things. I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful 15 pound weighted blanket! Velvety on one side, smooth on the other side. Lovely shade of beige and quilted! Love the cutout to fit around the neck and slits for arms/hands while working on a project or laptop! Well planned convenience…

After a long stressful day , I come home sit in my recliner with my blanket and destress! The weight is just right. I like the natural color. I also like that it is smaller and can use it sitting in a chair.

I gave this blanket to my husband about a month ago, as he has a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. He says it is helping some, and that it is very cozy. The pros are that it is very soft, traps heat well, large enough to fit an adult well, the weight creates a nice sense of coziness, and the neutral color works well with most decor. The cons are that my kids *really* wanted to try it, but I felt it was probably too heavy for them, and it is spot clean only. With kids and pets, having a removable, washable cover available would be helpful. Also, the online description said "warming", but to clarify, this is not an electric blanket. It does trap your body heat well, but it does not have its own heat source. Overall very happy with this blanket!

Not sure it can be machine washed either.

It was a birthday present for my daughter and it arrive a week after her birthday after I paid for extra shipping to ensure it was on time .
