SunButter Original Sunflower Seed Butter 16 oz Jar

I don't eat peanut butter anymore because of the modified fats it contains...most peanut butters these days are peanut flavored shortening. Submitted is simply roasted sunflower seeds, A little sugar and a little salt. The nutty flavor is strong and delightful. It does have a natural layer of separated oil on the top when you open it, however, TURN THE JAR UPSIDE DOWN AND STORE IT ON ITS LID AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STIR OR DEAL WITH A MESS!!! This is delicious. I wish it wss carried in a larger size!

SunButter is a fantastic alternative to peanut butter, especially for those with nut allergies or who work in nut-free environments like schools. Made from roasted sunflower seeds, it offers a creamy texture and a mild, earthy flavor that many people find delicious.

Good quality. Has a very mild flavor. I'm not a big fan myself because I don't like sunflower seeds and it does have a mild sunflower seed flavor. My son who is allergic to peanuts, does like this sunflower butter and does like sunflower seeds. It's a good one if you like that flavor and the quality of the spread is good.

I can't keep peanut butter in the house due to a serious peanut allergy so we keep SunButter on hand instead. I sometimes eat this on a spoon directly from the jar, but I mainly use SunButter to make protein balls. To the SunButter I add chocolate and vanilla protein powders, Lilly's chocolate chips, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, oatmeal and some honey and/or maple syrup. I roll them into balls, store for days in the refrigerator and have a delicious snack always on hand.

This stuff is great, its a little pricey. But just think what you'd spend buying the equivalent of shelled seeds. Very tatsy, and if youve had your teeth removed, you can now enjoy sunflower seeds. seeds are crushed so good, diverticulitis friendly. Highly recommend trying it once. You'll be hooked.

Discovered Sunbutter years ago and am a loyal fan. I always have one in the frigerator and one in the pantry. Delicious for PB and J's. My family readily eats Sunbutter along with me even though I'm the only one that's allergic. I buy the single packs for travel. It's a really great dupe!!!!

You need to know if you like sunflower seeds or not. This is a good alternative to peanut butter. I use this because of a peanut allergy. Tastes good and has nice texture. Thinner than peanut butter so it spreads easily. I use a good bit on both sides of the bread and can get about a month out of one jar.

More expensive than peanut butter, but tastes so much better. SunButter's ingredients are sourced and the product is made in allergen-friendly environments. This means that each jar is completely free from being exposed to peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, sesame, wheat, fish and shellfish. This particular sunflower butter comes in six types of textures or flavors: natural, organic, creamy, natural crunch, no sugar added and chocolate.

Finding out you can't have peanutbutter due to an allergy isn't fun. Luckily there's sun butter, the MUCH runnier cousin of Peanutbutter. While you may have to be careful to keep it from running making a sandwich it mixes well with jams and jellies can be cooked into a variety of home made snacks.

Unfortunately the sun butter was rancid. When we opened the jar there was a strong rancid smell and the sun butter was very liquid-y. Took one tiny taste of the sun butter and it was definitely rancid. We have been looking for alternatives to peanut butter, and sun butter was listed as the best alternative to try. We reached out to the sun butter company about the rancid product via their "Contact Us" section of their website and haven't yet heard back from them (it's been 2 weeks). We really wanted to like this product. Not sure if we will try purchasing again.
