Suncast 100 ft. Hose Hideaway Hose Reel, Gray

Hose holder looks very neat and organized for my garden hose ! I like that there's a place at the bottom for my foot to anchor my weight when rolling up the hose ; makes it much easier. —The short hose to use at the spigot is very sturdy, with brass ends complete with washers. This hose holder is constructed well, I just wish it was heavier material.

I loved the compact size %26 the light gray color. I have a 50 ft hose and it is PERFECT!!! Very happy with quality. However, it is advertised for a 100 ft hose and I cannot imagine attempting to fit an extra 50 ft of hose into that space. Clearly one would have to have the utmost patience or be Houdini.

This is the second Suncast 100 ft Hideaway Hose Reel, Gray, I purchased. The first is on my pool deck, in full sun. We use it a few times a week, and it's easy to use, it still looks new. I bought it about a year ago. I like it so much I bought another for the side of the house.

So if you've got a heavy duty hose thats thicker, max would be less than 50ft, and this definitely wont hold 100ft unless you wound it up perfectly. For thinner hoses maybe. I would recommend mounting this down as well or else while using it yo reel the hose back in likes to kick up until you have some weight in it. Would not recommend using with flexible stretchy hoses, they will get tangled inside.

It does look nice, and was easy enough to put together until it came time to attach the small black hose attachment it comes with to connect to your main pipe becauce both my pipe nozze and the nozzle leading to the hideaway were males. The black hose they sent was a male/female so there was no real way to connect this to my pipe without going out and buying a female/female connector requiring a separate trip to the store.. Without having to take that extra step. I would have given it 4 stars. 5 if it also came in more colors

If you have a deck or wooden surface you could put bolts or lag screws in the unit to hold it securely but it is too light and if you try to pull the hose to unroll it, the whole assembly just slides on the floor. If you try to roll the hose up there is a place where you are supposed to place your foot but it is too small.

It's a value for the price. I don't expect it to last long in the Florida sun. Plastic/PVC material is thin and flimsy. Not very big, it is full with two 25' hoses. No guide to wrap the hose so you have to hold the box down with one foot (step provided) turn the crank with one hand and guide your hose in with the other. The footprint is compact and the unit is very light. you cannot walk and pull the hose out as the unit will tip and drag along behind you, you must hold the reel down in place with one hand and pull the hose with the other. If I had known, I would have spent the money for a more substantial reel/housing.

I bought this realer to use with a 100' 5:8 hose. The hose was too heavy for the crank. The handle collapsed when I was half way thru. The reel did not have enough room for my heavy duty hose. Lighter hoses would work fine. Everything is plastic so don't think it will last more than 5 years.

It's extremely light in weight and material. It will not hold a 100' standard hose as described, the top doesn't sit flat. The connection point crimps constantly because of the height and angle it sets at. And the attachment hose is the lowest quality material. I wouldn't recommend this product.

This product is cheaply made. When I try to wind my 100' hose it tends to not have enough room, the hose starts to hit the back of the box which makes it hard to turn. When I continue to wind the hose and it hits the back of the box and gets tight to turn I can't hold the box down. I can only fit about 75' of the hose in the box. This is a terrible item.
