I absolutely love this system. It is everything that I could've hoped for. I had my lettuce, basil and arugula sprout in 3 to 5 days. I'm at week two and everything is looking great and healthy. I don't have to do anything but at the liquid food every two weeks the light are automatic so it stays on for 16 hours and shut off for eight hours.
Setup took less than 5 minutes. The light and timer are easy to set and adjust. Plenty of room for several large romaine lettuce plants. The adjustable height light is great for going from small seedlings to harvestable sized lettuce. Timer works great
the lights are bright, 4000k - 5200k . it auto circulates the water, and there's an 8 hour auto off. and of course it has 20 spots to plant. i personally don't the cones that come with it but thats it everything else is great about it so far. I had it for 3 months now.
This seems to have everything you need for an almost completely automated hydroponics system: water and nutrient recirculation, timed lighting, adjustable lighting, and everything to hold your seeds and plants. It holds a surprisingly large amount of water. It took me longer to fill it up (had to keep refilling my Brita for filtered water) than it did to place the seeds in the holders and build the entire rig. The directions are pretty good and they include a QR code to a video that was a helpful addition. Now that I'm all set up I expect very minor maintenance including some basic cleaning, adding nutrients (they give you a starter of dry nutrients that you just add water to), and adding water. I picked a bunch of different plants to try including herbs, leafy greens, tomatoes, and even pumpkins. I'm expecting that if all succeed in germination I'll end up transplanting some plants as it gets warmer outside
This is a deep water set up with a small recirculating pump. It is best for continued growth of seedlings. I use a ultrasonic mist type 2 L to start from seed and then transfer to this. I find that it is completely full with 8 L not 10
Due to unusual hot summers, my container garden has struggled. So, 3 years ago I bought a 12 pod grower. EASY EASY EASY! With having lettuce year round now, I decided to expand and purchased the 20pod. I now have zucchini, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, broccoli and spinach growing. When they get too big for the pods I'll transferred them to small containers, then to larger plant pots. I use an extra bedroom, but this can be done in your basement or attic. (In larger pots I use my multi-arm grow light.) When blossoms develop, I'll pollinate using a cotton swab. Extra supplies are easy to find on line. Tariffs have decimated my fixed income so I can only imagine what vegetables will cost in the winter. Come November I'll just walk down the hall and pick a nice salad to serve with the turkey. I have an ample stock of seeds, but obviously, these kits do not come with them. In today's world your 6 year old can unglitch your computer, but the grow pod system? Your 4 year old could assemble. Use as a teaching tool for kids. For a family, to reduce costs. I share me lettuce excess with elderly neighbors. At the cost of fresh veggies these days? You'd have an entire return within the first year.
This was very easy to set up and get started. The instructions are clear and they even offer you a video to help. I cannot wait to see what this produces
love the hydroponics system i ordered it is easy to assemble easy to use. worked alot faster then i originally expected exellent product
missing parts now I'm having a hard time returning it even with the warranty can't even get a replacement
Light stopped working about 30 days. Pump still works. It blinked a few times tried unplugging. Waited hoping it would come back. it reads 8888. Love the design. thought I got a lemon but lots of people complaining about the same thing
