We suffered ALL LAST SUMMER, and ARCTIC AIR said it would be almost $1000 to fix the problem.Aand a friend said, try putting some Freon in and see what happens. What have you got to lose. So we did and we have been enjoying nice cold air for a month! And keeping our fingers crossed!!!
I was kind of skeptical that this product would work. But it clipped right onto the port it was supposed to, and I was able to get like 95% of the contents out. Now my AC is blowing cold again and I hope will hold up for the rest of the summer at least. Good value compared to similar products from other brands.
Super Tech Premium R-134a automotive refrigerant with reusable hose and gauge worked for my daughter's 2005 Pacifica. Her and her children were able to stay cool this summer through the 90 degree days! Highly recommend!
The whole reason I bought that particular one is because it had the reusable hose.. but.. no one seems to know what it will and will not fit. I expected a can just like that only without the hose (and cheaper) but cannot find one online. Pricewise I believe it's middle of the road-ish. instructions are step-by-step and easy to understand. I do like having the gauge for a change.. I'm always so afraid of overfilling it especially with a big can like that but it used every drop. It will last as long as any other I figure. I have a leak somewhere and usually use at least couple of cans a summer.
Product worked pretty well, but I was not able to empty all the freon from the bottle. The amount of charge that I was able to add to my car A/C did improve the system.
The product itself is fine, but they sent me a damaged can (connection to gauge/hose was bent like 45 degrees). Put on some thicker gloves and sleeves in case it blew up but it didn't. But Walmart, do a better job making sure the product is good before shipping to a customer.
The connection to the freon bottle leaked out when I tried to use it. I ended up losing freon product. After getting some into my auto AC a little at a time to ensure against overfill which would damage my AC compressor. The 2nd short fillup the plastic top broke off to then not allow me to finish using what was in the freon can.
it worked and got my AC blowing cold, BUT the reason I gave it a low review is the valve on this thing is down right painful. you have to push down on the top with quite a bit of force and hold it for about ten minutes while rotating the can constantly per the instructions. I also bought a different hose and gauge that has a pistol grip trigger style valve, very comfortable. also I'll add that you'll probably need more than one can to recharge your system, you should just buy cans of the straight r134a without stop leak.
although you will be sucked in by the free gauge and hose adapter. it is too late ro realise that it is too short and would not reach some tight spaces. Also the coupler is so badly made that you are lucky if it will hold to the low pressure point when you push the refrigerant. you end up buying more cans just to finish the job , because. it will leak on the coupling. By a really good adapter gauge with long hoses. I have no complaint with the refrigerant. do not be tempted. find a better gauge/hose. you will spend more.
Walmart is completely screwed up. Said it would be delivered Thursday - came unannounced on Monday. And it is the wrong product. I have spent a lot of time on their stupid website. Now I have to waste time trying to return this item. My advice: AMAZON
