Belt gave security to disabled person.
This belt assisted me aide my husband to stand, and walk with security from falling.

Still using gait belt fr rehab instead
This has a good design, except it's not adjustable enough for the state of the person that I'm caregiving. As he improves, I think we'll be using it instead of the gait belt that rehab gave us. At that time .. when it's safer to use this, the transfers will be easier on my hands. Until then, this is just stored on a shelf.

Fancy, But...
My friend had a bad fall and was in a Rehabilitation facility for 2 months. Whenever they gave her PT or exercise, they used a plain fabric Gait Belt. I thought that something like this would provide more control. It doesn't, and ios NOT recommended by any therapist or practicioner. Stick with the plain belt.
