Great speed square. Well made aluminum metal. Well marked with black paint. I make bird houses and this enables fast quality cutting lines and 45 degree markings. Very accurate square. I guess you could say its for the birds... LOL

Seems like a good quality build a gift for my younger brother.

We got the Swanson Tool Co 8-inch Yellow Composite Speedlite Speed Square Model T0119. You can use the tool to Try Square, Miter Square, Protractor, Line Scriber, and a Saw Guide. Swanson Tool Company has a limited warranty for its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of original purchase. The tool has a diamond and scribe bar for easy layout, high-impact composite construction, and won’t mar surfaces. There are directions on the inside to tell how to find rafter lengths. I would recommend this for those who work construction or DIY crafter at home.

I have always had the old aluminum speed squares which are fine but they way more. When you weight is a factor for your carry on tool bag you tend to look for lighter options to be able to keep working without getting fatigued. This hard plastic one fits the bill nicely and has all the same features as its metal counterpart with the added benefit of being bright yellow. Not so easy to misplace as my other tools.

I like this speed square. The bright yellow makes it easy to find when needed and it has a good size numbering in it. I am older and use bifocals, so I appreciate the larger numbering. I've had several aluminum ones and time will tell if it hold up to abuse like they have.

This speed square is built to last from handling it. You can get straight 90°, 45° and other angles when you are doing construction on homes and businesses and for personal woodworking crafts in the woodshop. I'm sure that this tool can be used with plastic and metal works too if you have the correct tools to mark them and in cutting them. I like the sleek design and that it doesn't take up a lot of room. You can put it in a toolbox, toolbag or even hang it on a hook in the garage or shop. I recommend this product.

It's a speed square. Made of aluminum. Markings are bold and engraved— they should remain legible longtime even with repeated abuse. I really like the hard-copy booklet. Though made for roofing, speed squares can do so much more. (find on You Tube). I'd like those in hard copy also.

This is one heavy duty square. It is really thick and I wish I found this earlier. Specially when you want to score something with a box cutter, this thickness helps. The book comes with it has some nice tips and tricks, but the book seems to have not being updated since 1970s, when it comes to font, diagrams etc.... Also could have been nice if they could have integrated SI units some how to the tool. Thus 4 stars.
