Get the Most Out of Your Standard Definition DVD Collection! Yea I'm not sold on BluRay. I get my HD movies digitally anyway- I also have a huge collection of Standard Definition DVDs and this DVD player is up-scaling to 1080p! so far it works great and for the price it's an impulse buy- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good value and seems to be multi-region player.

The picture appears older (?) but that could be an effect of an older DVD player versus the newer TVs. this one appears to be a very basic DVD player. it does the job. does what I needed to do. so I'm okay with it but if I were looking to watch HD movies? this would not be the DVD player I would choose. As a side note it does play CDs. It played a music CD that I put into it so. Bonus.

This DVD player is of excellent quality when you consider it's price. The picture is excellent and the sound is good to. Make sure you purchase the proper hdmi cables. Some hdmi cables limit your DVD player ability to operate properly. They inhibit full digital display output to your screen thus your video performance may and most likely will be effective. This player freezes up while playing certain discs. But that can happen on a more expensive DVD player to. I have watched several dvd's on it since buying it. It is not a perfect machine. But either are some of those more expensive dvd players either. So all in all I am extremely happy with this purchase. It basically does what it was meant to do. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it either and I can more than live with my purchase and be happy with it to. The remote works perfectly. I have read in pervious reviews the remote faulters in some cases. But that may be due to the limitations of the disc being watched at the time. If you want an inexpensive dvd player and you don't mind the occasional freeze up. Then this DVD player is worth the money. If you want your Dvd player to run 100% perfectly then don't buy this unit. Unfortunately I can't advise you on what other DVD player to buy because my only concern here is. I don't have an answer to that. I have owned both cheap and expensive DVD players and all I can honestly say is not all DVD players like all DVD discs. This unit like enough of them to make me say I am happy with it. I bought the DVD player, the player works great! Clear picture.. but the remote doesn't work with the machine!

I wanted a cheap DVD player for my toddler to watch movies. This one was too cheap. The plastic is cheaper quality than most of my toddler's cheap plastic toys. And I couldn't even get the thing to play. Even the instruction manual wasn't even helpful. So I returned it.

The order came on time. But after the first use the dvd door wouldn't open up. I returned it to the closed and got another one and this one works great.

I would not suggest buying this DVD Player. I wish I would have spent a little more money on a better one because this one is trash. The DVD tray would not open up no matter what I did. Im not exactly sure how I got it to eventually open but when I did it would not play any movie I tried to put in there. I tried about 10 different movies and it kept saying No Disc

tried to use and wouldn't work. wouldn't stay open to put disc in. closed instantly. would not recommend since this is the 2nd one we have had to buy.
