Taylor 3512 Precision Instant Read 1" Dial Thermometer

Worked great as ground temperature tester. Just stuck it in the ground and checked it daily for a week. And it told me the dirt temperature everyday telling me when safe to plant. Along with a great price and free shipping. Was well worth my time. Like the pen shape cover which helps with storage and put deep enough in dirt with it as a stopper.

Thermometers such as this one aren't "laboratory standard" but this one reads OK. Get some experience with how it reads in relation to foods that are cooked to your liking and you will be happy with this thermometer.

I bought it to check my hot water heater. It settled on the temp in about 1 minute. Amazing little thermo for $3

This thermometer is very small. Much smaller than I expected, even though I read the 1" diameter in the description. It is well made and the plastic case is nice. I think if this is the type of thermometer you're looking for, it's a good product and a good buy.

I was a little disappointed it did not come with the wrench to calibrate, Can't tell that in the website, but the product is good.

The description says instant read and Mine did not. The size of the gauge is a little small.

I should have bought a digital thermometer. This thermometer is so slow! Standing there watching the stupid needle creep, the steak was overdone. Spend the extra money and get a better one.

I chose this thermometer for the smaller foot print, analog style and case. The case snaps on the probe to protect and doubles as a probe holder to prevent finger singes. The case on the unit I received is defective. It does protect the probe very well. The holes you are supposed to use as a holder are too small. I suppose I can try to enlarge the holder holes. I have used it to test temp so I can't return it.

This thing is terrible. I should have listened to the reviewer before me who said their steak burned while waiting for this thermometer to measure the temp. It is soooooo slow! It is completely useless. You or your meat with get burned waiting for this thing and it moves so slowly it's very difficult to tell when it has stopped at the actual temp.

didn't realize how small it is. never used but couldn't see temperatures. returned to store.
