this is a great little candy thermometer, it needs to be a little longer for deeper pots, so you have to make sure your pot is deep enough to attach the thermometer to without touching the bottom of the pan, because if on the bottom it will not give accurate reading

Not watertight
I dislike that water/moisture can get into the glass tube. This makes it fog up so the temp. can't be read.

Avoid this product!
TERRIBLE! Not made like they used to be. It's open at the top and allows water inside. There are no markings for hard or softball. Absolute garbage! Complete waste of money. Threw it in the trash. Can't do a return because we threw away the packaging.
