This TV replaces my old TCL that I've had for sevenish years. I didn't know what QLED was, but my granddaughter explained that it would give me a much better picture and it does! Pretty straightforward installation basically plug it in. Good for me because I'm technologically challenged. LOL
TVL is a great brand for video quality ... setup was straightforward and the remote has all the options one needs for a small unit ... mounted under a cabinet in the kitchen adds the ability to catch some news, play music on YouTube or catch a movie ... a great buy at a reasonable price ...
Great price for a television on the Google platform. ROKO televisions seemed to dominate black Friday and a 32 inch google tv was hard to find. Walmart had this one and in the TCL brand. The resolution is 1080p whereas most 32 inch televisions are 720p. Great value and great price.
I needed a smart tv that allowed me to get antenna tv (no cable) and my streaming apps. This did a great job! Easy to install.
Not a bad tv. Can play with the sound and picture a little. I've noticed the best picture quality is sports mode or vivid I believe, and TURN ON THE BACKLIGHT. I listened to someone online saying to turn it off. Turn it on. All in all, not a bad tv. It's better than a sharp stick to the eye.
I am very satisfied with this Google TV so far. The 1080p and the qled format has a short picture and the direct black background makes the picture a lot more distinct and sharp. The boarder is super thin so you get a full picture. I'm still getting to learn how to use the Bluetooth feature to use my wireless headphones but hopefully I will be able to listen in privacy once I learn how. The tremendous selections of channels and apps is quite impressive plus the connectivity with my phone is great.
i would recommend this tv if you sre tech savvy. it took 3 hours to set up with help from tech support. it is some what difficult for me to find the channels that i pay for on my regular tv on this tv. but i did it! the color is sharp and clear. remote is easy to use and with trial and error i am figuring it out. well worth the money for a smart tv. i only wish manufactors would incule a surer manual that i could refer to. all in all i do like the tv
Good picture for this price point. First - you need to turn off the power saving setting for all the features to work via WiFi. Second - it doesn't support AirPlay and aside from YouTube, I couldn't get casting to work with this model either. Since it's Google play store (not Roku) it doesn't have the xfinity app either. So depends on your usage - but I had to use a Roku stick with this tv to get it to work as intended.
Consider other options. I retuned and replaced this tv and both devices made a high pitched humming noise when off and plugged in. I googled and did all the troubleshooting steps but still the noise persisted. Must be faulty manufacturing and I'll be exploring other brands.
I would NEVER purchase a TCL Google TV. I spent 4 hours on the phone with TCL and YouTube TV and was never able to download YouTube TV. I will stick with Roku installs! Also, the sound of this TV was tinny. To return the TV was easy BUT WALMART stated I could return to ANY WALMART! WRONG. Even the Walmart employees said WALMART needs to change those instructions, as not all Walmarts sell electronics so they can't receive returns. WHAT A MESS.
