Good TV for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my 50 inch TCL Smart tv about a month ago. Since then I have experienced the TV screen going pitch black from time to time! Very strange, hopefully nothing else goes wrong.

My son got the TCL 50s446 model 50inch Smart TV last year around July through his Coca-Cola rewards program where they buy products with points awarded for me. I am disabled and Needed a TV. It is in pristine condition and isn't overused. The screen went out on it a few months ago, you can hear when volume is up but it won't go on. I have never had a TV go out on me so quickly. Actually never had a TV go out period. I don't have money to buy a TV and this one is very depressing. I even got a new plug for it to see if that was problem and it didn't work. This product to me is not worth getting. The TV still looks like it did when took it out of box. I never had a TCL tv and now don't trust their product.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The TV has been 'glitchy' for the year + that I have owned it. Always needing to unplug and reset. But now, the screen is completely black and won't turn on. Broken in just over a year, was a piece of garbage. Any other brand would be better than this, a complete waste of money. Oh, and the company does nothing to remedy the situation. Totally wasted our time and money on this TV and this brand.
