its a beautiful tv just with one down side tho, so its 4k 60hz and it saids 120hz for gaming but i tried to put 4k 120hz and its 60hz but its 1440p 120hz but its low res because its hard to split 4k to 1440p so you get what you paid for and they didnt lie about 120hz tho its very good
I love this in my price range tv. It has more features than I was expecting. My only 2 cons is I would have preferred the 120hz panel over this 60 hz panel and I wish the buttons on the remote were a bit more distinguishable by feel. But with time finger memory will come.
I watched the " The Morning Show " as that one has the Dolby effects that truly showed the TVs worth. The clarity was good and definitely better than the UHD TV I have in the other room. This is my first TCL tv and its been only 3 days since I started to use it and hope it does its job as its doing today.
I've had this tv a few months now and still can't believe how cheap it was for how great it is. We have LG, Samsung, and Phillips smart tvs. They all cost me far more a don't seem a bit better. To be fair, the LG and Samsungs we have had for 5 years now, so we'll see if this lasts. So far so good!
The Q6 is a decent TV for the price point. Not my go to for HD content or movies. I use my TCL 6 Series with local dimming. As for the Q7 in my opinion is not worth the extra money compared to the Q6 price. I rather purchase the older 6 Series again for the same price point as the QM8 I wish they never stop making the 6 Series.
I bought this t.v. 4 mos. ago give or take 5 days and yes i lost the special benefit warranty to it if i registered it within 30 days of purchase but such is life. But it still has a 4 year warranty on it. Anyhow I'm first setting it up now and watching and listening to music on it and I have to say it sounds pretty good at a setting of 63, as far as the picture goes i never would have thought that a picture could look any better, it's beautiful and that's with the color setting set on auto. I had 4k before and there's no match.
For a midrange price tv. It has a great picture and sound. The remote is the problem: It's a good workable size remote. but the buttons are small. It takes thumb training dexterity to find the proper button in a dimmly lit room for night time veiwing.
So when I first turned this tv on, I went through the usual screens (language, time, info, warnings, etc.) But then it got obnoxious. You have to have/make a TCL and Google account to even start using the TV. It wants access to everything like voice, darkest secrets, location, and any privacy and dignity you have left. If you get past the barrage of repetitive legalese questions, you are met with a poorly designed user interface. If you and others in your household use YouTube or any other app owned by Google and want to sign in to different profiles be prepared for a long delay while it changes everything about the TV screen. It also runs at speeds slower than dial up on windows 95. God-forbid you accidentally click on an app you don't want and quickly try and back out to go to the app you want, your mistake will cost you at least a few minutes and a good bit of your sanity. Two stars because the picture is crisp and nice with good colors and clarity with a good range of different modes (natural, sports, power save, etc). It has a game mode for console gaming which was nice since it was laggy while not on that mode. The remote feels like it's about 8 feet long and 1 inch wide so just about the worst ergonomic design since the old N64 controller. It's cheap and not well made. Lastly, there's a reason this is a QLED – that's made primarily for using outdoors, and I can tell why, because when it's on, it's the brightest TV ever, and that's not a good thing. Get ready to be blinded by mediocrity 😤
Worst customer experience. I ordered this TV expecting that it would be delivered within 2 days. However, when I completed the purchase it informed me the delivery date would be 7 days later. So I immediately canceled the order so I could just go pick one up. The "cancelation request" was submitted and I realized it was just a "request" so I called to make sure the cancelation had been seen. The rep that took my call assured me that the "request" had been seen and that I would receive a confirmation within 24 hrs. Well, 8 hours later, I got a notice that the order had SHIPPED! How is it possible that an order with a cancellation request can be processed and shipped without anyone noticing that it had been cancelled? Do better Walmart.
To begin with this was the perfect tv for our bedroom in our vacation home. We bought November 2023. It isn't used often,as stated this is a vacation home so in the 19 months we have had it, it may have been turned on 50 times. That being said, the screen faded to black and I have tried all the Google hacks to get it to work. It will come on, won't change channels and just slowly fades to black. Items are made now with the process thinking “Built to replace soon” Do your research and don't purchase this tv!
