It's actually smaller than what I thought it'd be, but I didn't see that it says 6" in the name. It actually makes it easier because I bought it for my 7 year old and it fits perfectly on his bookshelf. So it's not a huge bulky thing that will be in the way when we're not using it =]

Keeping in mind that it's pretty small, the printing is still legible and easy to read. The political borders are current as of 2024. The stand is big enough for good balance. I bought this to demonstrate the actual size of various geographic features, as opposed to the inaccurate Mercator flat maps, and it works great for that.

Smaller than I thought it would be , but that's ok. It takes up less room that way. Very useful in my bile study in finding countries I wonder where they are now. And I use it when I hear about a place where something happened on the news I can see where it is.

I cannot get the stand to stay attached it falls from the globe when you pick it up
