Very happy with this survival kit. Everything arrived well organized and compact, easy to carry and store, and the tools feel solid and practical rather than cheap. Overall this is a good value. The individual items, if purchased separately, would be considerably more. That said, not every item will be mentioned but the highlights will be discussed. The knife is light but is very sharp. However, after one or two uses, it would likely be difficult to restore the edge. It is not a major issue, this is for emergency use so it is not meant for long excursions. The spork is actually deep and functions as a spoon quite well. The knife end is also quite sharp and could assist with any cutting needs quite well. The bracelet includes a small fire flint so it can serve as a backup for the larger one in the package. Finally, for the tools, the ring saw is your basic single use version. It would function well enough to cut through a small branch three-quarter to an inch in diameter but would not be useful after that. As for the first-aid kit, it is functional. Most people feel a first aid kit is for major trauma but if someone needs more than a cut or scratch bandaged, a splinter removed or a finger splinted and wrapped it is best to get professionals to come take the person to a clinic. This has enough of the basics to cover small nicks and scratches. The rest of the items are small and functional and would be useful and the case keeps everything together quite well. It would make a nice gift for anyone who is interested in these kits.

I have returned this item because was more intended for fishing than for hiking. Otherwise I would kept it.

Compass and flashlight did not work. Bracelet might be worn by an infant. Cordage is poor quality. Don't waste your time or money on this product.
