Texas Instruments - TI-15 School Calculator

This was perfect for my daughter!she loved it!

I am well pleased with this calculator. It has features that I, as an elementary math teacher, find invaluable for teaching and checking addition, subtraction, multiplication, division (with decimal and remainder), fractions (all 4 functions. simplifying, transitioning to mixed, shifting between fractions and decimals), rounding and estimating numbers and other functions. Great for having students check their work and become familiar with calculators.

Does the job of expensive calculators, but does it for a fraction of the price. Just read the operations sheet. and you will be on your way. It even has a math tutor program that is installed into. If you have kids that are in school this is just the right thing for them.

Works as advertised. However, I would have preferred to buy the advanced calculator now so he can get used to it for MS/HS. Also I had to buy it online because all the stores that had carried it were out of stock. Since the stores were sold out and wouldn't restock it. It ended up costing me more then in store to buy it online and I had to pay for shipping to. Thank you for your time and I hope this helps. Also don't buy this one if you don't need it for books. There is alot better solar powered systems with internal rechargeable batteries. Those are the one that works best and the batteries takes almost 10 years before needing to replace and work with or without light. Though light is needed to recharge the very long lasting batteries.

Bought for my grandson as he needed it for his first year at Middle School. It seems to be sturdily made and he has had no trouble using it to its full potential. The price was very competitive as I always expect from Walmart.

This calculator is great for learning fractions. The screen and input is easier to use than the ones offered by other companies. You can do parenthetical equations with it as well. I like the TI's and will continue to use them.

My son uses the same calculator in middle school and I just had to purchase the same one he feels comfortable with.I should of purchase another.and the delivery was fast.

Great calculator for elementary students, fairly simple to operate and good instructions as to the function of each key. Comes with a nice hard plastic case that slips over the front which makes it more durable and easier to transport without damaging.

I was very happy that this item was available here. They do not carry them in our local Walmart stores, which was unfortunate, because this calculator is required for all 6th grade students in our district. They could have sold a TON of them! The calculator is easy to use, and seems very durable. The price was a bit on the high side for a starter calculator, but it is a good brand and quality, so it seems like a fair trade.
