The Andersons NutraSoft DG Pelletized Gypsum 6,600 sq ft 40 lb Bag

I used this gypsum in my front yard and I hadn't fertilized yet. Well, two weeks after the gypsum was laid down my yard looked like it had been fertilized. I'm in North Carolina and I moved from my house with Sandy soil to the new house which has clay soil. So I started adding this after I read up on what to do and it has truly helped. Now if I could just program it to apply itself to the yard by itself that would be super, but until then I'll do it manually. You won't be disappointed if you're trying to loosen up compacted or clay soil. The back yard has new sod but it's doing great. The section close to the concrete in the one photo was treated. It has not been fertilized, just put gypsum down.

Applied and waiting for results. However, should be fine. Anderson products are always reliable. Used product in the past with great satisfaction.

I mix gypsum into the clay soil annually in the springtime. It helps maintain the pH so the grass grows and so the water drains better. I need a big bag and this is a big bag, good price and a good product.

I like the size of the pellets. Not so small that it blew into the wind, not so large that it clogged my feeder.

The product is easy to apply using my spreader and low-dust (still wear a mask though as PPE). I appreciate that it's organic so I don't have to worry about getting it on me or cleanup. I've applied 1 of the 3 bags of the Gypsum OP to my front yard in early JUN and have watered pretty much daily until we finally received a full day of rain and more is on the way (yay!). It's still too early to determine the impact to my heavy clay soil, but I'm hopeful and plan on applying the remaining two bags throughout the growing season.

After much research I've learned that my soil is clay soil which is compacted and apparently this soil makes it difficult to have a nice looking lawn. From what I've read Gypsum helps to break up and soften the soil. It'll take some time to see results but considering I've been satisfied with all other Anderson products so I expect the same results with this.

This was my first time using this particular product but very easy to spread. I feel like it will take care of my high alkaline lawn. The Andersons products always do as they say.

I have a lot of trees and clay soil.The neutra soft handles both and helps with using 10-10-10 fertilizer. Gets my ph down. Would recommend for maintaining a healthy lawn!

I have very compacted clay soil,OP soft gypsum is easy to spread, I'll need to add a second application, water didn't seem to puddle.

I'm happy with this product so far. I applied it to get the pH of my soil down. I'm anxious to use more of The Andersons products I bought.
