An awesome movie
I loved this as a mini series years ago! Originally purchased it for a Christmas gift and found out that they already had it so I got to keep this one. Anyone who is interested in the civil war era should watch this movie.

Good Movie for a Low Price
This GREAT 6 hour miniseries cost only $10! My history students (and my 13 year old son) love it!!! I'd say it's appropriate for ages 9 and up... Delivery & Taxes only brought my total to $12.87...Very Pleased with this purchase!

Good Civil War Saga
Owned the movie on VHS, but needed it on DVD. Great price at $10.00, but packaging(movie case) came damaged from Walmart. :o( Gregory Peck plays Abraham Lincoln and does a great job!!

I prefer the recut version
I enjoy the recut version of this movie. For that reason I thought the entire version would be even better but I was wrong. The picture quality is much better than the recut version; it appears sharper, crisper, & with less spots. However I didn't care for the immorality that this version contains. Yes I know that this is not X-rated stuff but I just didn't enjoy these scenes. I enjoy Civil War movies like Gone With The Wind, Gettysburg, Glory, & Gods & Generals. If you have seen these then you know what I am talking about.
