4c texlaxed, does what you need it to do, frizz controlled so nicely. Don't need much and blended well with an olive oil cream. Doesn't need to be reapplied between washes, reactivates with water. It's a really good value for the fact that you don't need much and it's a quality gel, not some watery mess that doesn't do much but smell nice; this is not that. Would be a bonus if you have a defuser to finish or twist out. I didn't do either so that's why I didn't attach photo 😂 I quickly ran my hands through my sons hair and his curls were noticeably very popping and extra shiny! Much looser curls btw.

i love the cast that it puts on my very coarse and thick 3b 3c curls. pair it with a mousse for a extra hold. its very hydrating and doesnt dry my hair out.

Great product will get your curls very defined curl cast to the max. However, my only negative comment is the flaking can get bad when you add too much but overall great product will buy again.

It holds the curls for weeks. I love this brand. My granddaughter recommended this to me and I recommended it to others. But, the only thing I don't like is it can make the hair stiff and hard. what you can do in a couple of days you can spray with water and it will start softening up.

Two down sides: The consistency,texture, and smell always differs. It's never the same, it makes me iffy to keep purchasing the product. Secondly it leaves your hair hard and crunchy with a white cast. I will agree that your curls will be popping but at the expense of the white cast.

This is very thick and very sticky, like a water down honey. It smells really good but I have to mix it with water and the all finished add and oil to keep from getting hard or having a white cast when dry. Definitely makes curls pop and works on all hair types, I know this because I have 3 girls and including myself, we all have a different hair types, from soft and fine, loose curls to tight and sometimes dry very tight hard to define curls.

I absolutely love how this product defines my curl. However, it makes my hair hard and stiff and the easily flakes while, regardless if I use another DOUX product with it or not. The way my hair flakes white makes the product not worth it.

I don't like how it smells at all, I had to wash it out immediately to keep from smelling this one! But the custard would do what you need it to do for hold!

This product is very potent. Certainly do not use what you might be used too with prior product. Very concentrated, smells amazing. If you don't have extremely curly hair may not use this product. made my hair sticky. I obviously used way to much product for my hair texture. SMELLS AMAZING!!!

As a The Doux customer, I found this gel not up to the standards I expect. The gel was packaged nicely upon arrival. The product does not provide curl definition and has a strong, crunchy cast on the hair. My coworker stated she did like the shine on my hair, but this product leaves me with a sense of lackluster performance. I will be returning to the store for a refund.
