Ghost Story 2.0
“Halloween” is Carpenter creating the genre, but “The Fog” is a love letter to the stories that scared the director as a boy. It's a simple ghost story told by a man who just a couple years earlier made those types of films feel passé. But here things get cranked up to make the film a contemporary horror film instead of a creaky repeat of the old days. The 4K restoration is absolutely stunning, and if you've watched this film on VHS or cable, then get ready to see things in the fog and darkness that you've never been able to see before. The steelbook packaging is a gorgeous addition to my collection.

Fantastic steelbook release
This is an amazing 4K transfer. It's an upgrade from the blu-ray release in every way. Both the visuals and the surround sound are amazing.
